What Are You Listening To?

Been listening to pretty much only Nas, The Roots, and Wale lately.

Wales old mixtapes are so dope, 100 Miles And Running has been on repeat all day.

Heaven and Hell- Stryper

Color me surprised. I would never have expected to see Stryper in this thread. Sure, they are a great glam-metal band, but the fact that they are Christian turns lots of people away. I love the album To Hell With the Devil.

Yeah, they are a great group for headbanging. They really do know how to rock, and a lot of their songs are funny. Yeah, I see what you did.

The Heartless (children born out of wedlock) have recently released their fourth album Arrow, which I've been listening to non-stop since it came out. Some choice tracks include:

Parted Ways
Gotta Have Rock and Roll
The Arrow Killed the Beast
Skin and Bone
Down in the Canyon

But all of the tracks are pretty awesome

Couldn't agree more on Wale. While I liked The Eleven One Eleven Theory, his previous five tapes were great.

True, though I prefer the 80's stuff, so they are more late 40's, not 60. Ugh, those are not my style. Skillet? Aren't they a Christian rock band?

Crack the Skye- mastodon
the drummer wrote this song after his sister Skye. She commited suicide at age 17. Good song, it really shows the pain he went through with his family, i know his uncle and I felt horrible asking about the album.

Yes they have fame and they are on iTunes. They are like new metal. They do their own kinda thing... Sometimes they sound rough and then sometimes there more melodic.
