Mark Sanchez, The Chihuahua

Boomer Esiason, while on the subject of the Jets, called Mark Sanchez "a Chihuaha standing on Madison Avenue." So true.

When I saw his comments the other day the first response I saw from a reader was that Boomer Esiason made a racist comment. What a load...

I thought Boomer's comments were spot-on and then remembered how sensitive people in today's society can be...to a fault even.

He had his tail between his legs in the Baltimore game, too. These stories shouldn't give me satisfaction, but they do!

As i stated in the past...I have never seen a USC QB that accomplished anything great in the NFL. Please help me if i missed one!

the fact that he went to usc has nothing to do with him being on a terrible and overrated jets team. his top receiver quit on him, the team had no running attack, and the defense wasn't as good as advertised. sanchez only had one year starting at usc and never should have been drafted as high as he was.

I hate to tell y'all but I have met some pretty fierce little Chihuahuas. An ex of mine...his mom had one I called 'The Flying Teeth'. This little gal took a flying leap at my leg under the dinner table one night and took a chunk of skin out of my leg THROUGH MY JEANS.

Not all chihuahuas have that deer-in-a-headlights demeanor to which Esiason referred.

As far as Sanchez is concerned, Pete Carroll knew what he was talking about after all, didn't he. I saw an article on Yahoo Sports earlier today...Stafford is surpassing Sanchez on the road to elite status. Sanchez and elite should not be mentioned anywhere near each other. People complained that Joe regressed this year? Be glad we're not the Jets and be glad we're not stuck with Sanchez. I'd take Joe ANY DAY!

Sanchez is overrated and was taken way too early largely because he played at USC. His top receiver quit on him because Sanchez repeatedly failed to get him the ball all season. The Jets had 2 passing plays of 40 yards or more! Thats pathetic, especially when you have an elite talent like Holmes. I agree that the Jets as a whole regressed this season, their Oline got much worse as did their running game and their D took a step back as well. So its not all on Sanchez, but he has really looked terrible for much of the season as well.

John David Booty. You could actually purchase a jersey from NFL.com with "Booty" on the back and not have the order cancelled due to an inappropriate name.
