We Have Nothing To Worry About

10 posts in this topic

some of you need to calm down. sure our offense isnt the greatest, sure our defense has given up back to back game winning scores, but there's always gonna be problems. thats not a bad thing either. in the words of the greatest leader in professional sports history in my opinion, Ray Lewis, "Leadership is earned through adversity not peaches and cream thats easy." sure we could easily be 4-0 but i think we're gonna benefit from the last two losses. what doesnt kill you makes you stronger and our playoff hopes are far from dead. Tampa Bay here we come

Slow down now. It's talk like that, that makes the losses hurt more.

Just take it one game at a time. Even though a quarter of the season is over, there's still a lot of football left to play. Will the football gods favor us? We'll see.

But for now...as much as we want the playoffs to happen, let's just take a wait-and-see approach so no one gets their feelings hurt too bad.

If we make the playoffs, then great. If we don't, then oh well. Bottom line: whatever happens, happens.

Im liking the optimism, but let's not forget Harbaugh's policy, WIN: whats important now. basically the next game. but as nobody has, or can, clinch any playoff berth as of now, anything can be possible.

It's possible we might not lose another game. Than again, it is possible we might not win another. That's how the NFL goes. Theres going to be a lot of great games decided by only a few points. It makes for exciting football. And thats why I am confident we'll make the playoffs with a wildcard. Just like we did in 2000.

If I may be so bold..I don't want the Ravens to go to the playoffs. I want them to hit .500. Does anyone think those expectations are too low? I don't. Our team is in the process of getting it's collective *expletive* together. Next year, I'm thinking playoffs. This year, I think the team needs to play hard, win some and lose some, gel as a unit, and get that much needed team experience and camaraderie. If the Ravens went to the playoffs this year, the only thing that would happen is that everyone would be elated, and then deflated. I don't want that. In my deepest heart of hearts, I hope the Ravens somehow go all the way. But if I let that surface, then I take the bad much worse then I would if I just used my head and focused on reality. I love the Ravens. And I KNOW that when they finish this 'meshing' process they've got going, they are going to be a VERY hard team to beat, no matter the opponent. Until then, I'm gonna enjoy watching Joe and the offense do their thing, and big Ray doing his.
