The reason that you're concerned is you know the Steelers can beat you - and you don't want to play them.

The Baltimore Ravens are not "in the Steelers heads". The real pressure is on the Ravens - after all, it's the Steelers who have won the Super Bowl and AFC Championship multiple times. It's the Steelers that have gone 12-4 despite massive injuries - where would the Ravens be if Ray Rice got a high ankle sprain?

End of the day - you lose to the Steelers, again, it wipes out everything you have done this year. And you know that Joe Flacco has never been a great playoff QB.

The reality is you are the ones with the most anxiety.....and when Pittsburgh beats you in two weeks, it's going to feel a whole lot worse than it did in 2008 and 2010.

And the Steelers won't give Mike Tomlin a Gatorade bath. They have bigger fish to fry.

What? They're 2 games up on us, including the playoffs. The regular season is split perfectly.

They swept us in 2008. We split in 2009 and 2010. We swept this year.

Their D doesn't give Flacco problems either. Don't know where you're coming up with this stuff.
Well when Dennis Dixon and Charlie Batch are behind center, I guess you can count those as wins. The Ravens vs. Big Ben playing is just bad (I don't know the specific record, but that is all ESPN kept showing the week before we played them at Heinz field this year) When Ben is playing, they are a different team, and as long as Big Ben is behind center then I don't want to play the Steelers if I have a choice

Look at how many comebacks the Steelers have had against the Ravens. I mean they almost did it against the Ravens again at Heinz field this year. I know because I was sitting on my couch thinking "really this is going to happy again?".

And how about Troy's fumble that he caused Flacco to basically win the game last year at home which was all over ESPN which lost us home field? Or James Harrison causing the fumble in the last game at Heinz field to bring the Steelers back which almost lost the game for us. Or the Interception that Flacco threw in the Division championship game last year which was part of the reason what brought the Steelers back in the second half of that game? Flacco turns the ball over vs the Steelers, and it kills us. That's where I come up with that stuff.

Now I think we would beat the Steelers if we played them again. We are a better team this year IMO than the Steelers. But people who want to play the Steelers are forgetting about how much of a threat they are, and should look at more than just this year's tape of the games.

Says the person sitting on the Ravens' message boards during the middle of week when the two teams do not play each other talking himself up... Pot... have you met Kettle?

Oh and in terms of the "bigger fish to fry", don't you mean "more hell to raise"? Silly rabbit.

When did we lose to you this year or whatever at the end of the day?

You sounded pretty comfortable in front of your computer. Ok, let take you in Burger's shoes in game 1st and 10 at M&T Stadium; the ball snapped, you look up and bam! Suggs smacks and bulllrushes you sliding into the ground; 2nd and 20, 2s after the ball snapped, Ngata pulls a truck load of sacks right on you; and 3nd and 30, 1s after ball snapped Suggs, Mcphee, and Kruger slam dunk you right on the turf and the ball is flying right onto Lewis's arm. TD!

That's how it works at M&T stadium; we intimidate and fear any hostile opposing team coming to B-more....

It may not be as difficult as some people think.

http://www.aolnews.c...pponents-three/

That stat was as of 2008. As we all know, Baltimore and Pittsburgh made that stat 12-7 and then the NFC East had another matchup the following year I believe, but I don't remember the outcome. Either way, a team that beat another team twice is statistically likely to beat the same team a third time.
Oh, it's not impossible, I know. But the Steelers are good in crunch time and unless we blow them out like we did in the first game it could go either way. I would just rather take a team I'm more confident in beating than the Steelers.

But if you asked my opinion on who I want to beat more it's definitely the Steelers.

I don't see the Steelers beating NE or Baltimore this year. Too many injuries and Steelers look like crap on road this year. I also don't believe that NE or Baltimore has a chance in hell of beating NO or GB.

Steelers games are always nerve wrecking.. It feels like everyone else in the AFC is a certain win for us (besides MAYBE the Pats). The Steelers could always get our number. They always play us tough. And if I was a Steeler fan, I wouldn't want to play the Ravens. Theres more intensity in a Raven-Steeler game than any other game played in the NFL. It could go either way on any given night. Who knows, if we ended up playing them, they could blow us out this time. But I know this team can pull it out. Flacco's becoming more clutch as well as the entire offense. I think this is our year. Bring on anyone.

Personally i want to see them in the playoffs because I'm confident in my team.... everybody on here is talking about rooting for the texans ?? what kind of crap is that.... I'm not rooting for anybody but OUR ravens and nothing is going to come easy..... i know for a fact our ravens can beat the steelers this year in the playoffs and know we will have so much fire and play with much more intensity then if we played the garbage texans.... think about how confident and more hungry our raven team will be when we beat the steelers in the playoffs after what they have done to us in previous years guys... Our Super Bowl run will only be complete if we take out the steelers....Once we beat them ill know for a fact this is our year.... does anybody agree?
I have the same approach. I don't care who comes...they better bring it. And I'll be at the game too?! Psssssh. Just bring it.

I'd like to see the Texans knock out the Bengals and have the Steelers beat the Broncos. We would get the Texans at home and the Steelers would have to go to Foxboro to face the Patriots. Then I'd like to see the Patriots and Steelers beat each other up and have the Steelers win. I'd rather play the Steelers at home for the AFC championship than have to travel to Foxboro to face Brady et al. We built a team in the offseason to beat Pig Pen and the Squealers so bring them on! If I had to bet, I still think we will have to beat Houston and New England to get to the Super Bowl. Of course, we have to focus on one game at a time but I really like our chances.

That's a pretty good scenario. Worst case scenario would have to be facing the Steelers and Patriots to get to the Super Bowl. It would be helluva lot sweeter if we did reach the Bowl after beating those two Giants. But no Super Bowl win is ever tainted by taking the path of least resistance.

Not to mention playing in high altitude. Field goal kicking will be primal. Which team has the best feild position and the kicker with the golden leg will prevail. This one is a tough call, but I don't see a whole lot of touchdowns factoring in.

I'd rather face the Patriots on the road than Pittsburgh at home. We handled the Pats in the playoffs up there a couple of years ago, it wasn't even close.

As for the Steelers, although we would probably beat them for a third time, I don't even want to take any chance that the Ravens have an off game and lose to them. That would mean another year of gloating by Steelers fans and I don't want the Steelers anywhere near Indianapolis in February.

We have beaten the Steelers twice and have seriously damaged their chances of making it to the Super Bowl. By making them go on the road as a wild card team.
No need to go for the hat trick by facing them third time.

The Steelers have had more than their share of Super Bowl appearances and I'd like to see them miss the Super Bowl for the next 40 years. Like the Jets who haven't been there since 1969.

I'd be very disappointed if the Ravens lost to the Patriots this year, but I could accept that and move on. It would be very difficult for me to accept losing to the Steelers.
Don't even want to take that chance. I hope the Steelers lose to Denver tomorrow. But just in case they don't I will be rooting for the Texans today so that we don't have to face the Steelers next week.

Yeah, it would be a horrible, horrible thing to lose to the squealers. But, it would be so much sweeter to beat them rather than the pats.

So the squealers-broncs game is a win-win for us. squealers lose, all is right with the world. They win and we may get a chance to play them again and put the Festivus thing to bed. It's really the last monkey on our back.

No time for the negative waves! It's Festivus!!!!

I agree with some of your points. If the Ravens are to lose, the Patriots would be the "best" best team; they would play in NE due to the Patriots AFC best winning record.

However, the win two years ago at their place isn't necessarily more convincing than the Ravens two wins over Pitt this year. Of the two Pittsburgh looks like the worse team right now and they would have to play in Baltimore. New England's passing offense is prolific. We saw how the Ravens handled a top ten offense the last time they played one and that too was on the road.

Bring on the Squeelers. I'm not afraid of them at all. They have shown NOTHING as of late to suggest that we would need to fear playing them in M&T. The fact that we'll be twenty times more fired up because of the opponent just makes it that much sweeter. With the state of their team, I can't think that the Patriots are the path of least resistance, either.

And as Mr. Ryan Clark so arrogantly squawked, it's not even a rivalry to them anyways, so we don't have to worry about that aspect of it!

NE isn't that scary of place to go into and play.
