Why Is Everybody So Scared Of Pittsburgh

240 posts in this topic
if you look at some other posts people are like praying for them to get knocked out so we don't have to see them...not everybody bro
True, but most non-Ravens fans that come to the board just read the titles and move on. I think your topic would mislead them. The Steelers should be more scared to play us than we are to play them. All they can hold on to is their flimsy belief that 3 playoff victories in Heinz in years past are the prevailing factor.

i dont care who we beat as long as we beat them. next best thing to a ravens win is a pit loss, again whoever beats em, whether it be denver in the wild card or us at the bank. no way will i be rooting for the steelers against denver. and no im not scared of pit i just feel that losing to denver would be that much more of an embarassment for them. f pit

but think about it. if we can play the texans and beat them. and the steelers can beat the patriots, we would play them in the afc championship

In Baltimore.............My reasoning, that way we don't see the road again

Who's scared of Pittsburgh? I just want them to play the Patriots.
This. I dont think anyone is scared of the Steelers, but if we can get through the playoffs without playing them and NE it makes our path to the SB that much easier. Plus if Pitt goes to NE and wins then we get 2 homefield games instead of having to go to NE. Either way we want to play Houston in the divisional round.

once again what are you talking about guy?? nobodies praying to face them... its just retarted praying not to face them.... no matter what we woud have to see BREES, RODGERS, ELI, RYAN.... so yeah lets go the whole playoffs used to playing garbage quarterback so we can get embarrased by a good quarterback in the bowl .....just like the chargers game....

Personally i want to see them in the playoffs because I'm confident in my team.... everybody on here is talking about rooting for the texans ?? what kind of crap is that.... I'm not rooting for anybody but OUR ravens and nothing is going to come easy..... i know for a fact our ravens can beat the steelers this year in the playoffs and know we will have so much fire and play with much more intensity then if we played the garbage texans.... think about how confident and more hungry our raven team will be when we beat the steelers in the playoffs after what they have done to us in previous years guys... Our Super Bowl run will only be complete if we take out the steelers....Once we beat them ill know for a fact this is our year.... does anybody agree?
Cannot agree with the highlighted line. We have already taken out the Steelers, twice in fact. Won the division. Remember that? A SB win will be just as complete whether we see the Steelers again or not. Anyone we play is deserving to be in the playoffs, by virtue of them actually being in the playoffs. All is equal again.

Although, of anyone, I would rather not play NE since I would rather we had all home games, but that is just because I like watching the home games more.

Denver lost 3 games in a row in which Tebow has looked terrible. Pittsburgh has a hobbled QB and a RB on IR, and won 13-9 against the browns.....

This is going to be a great game...

I'd rather not face any team 3 times in one season, and that includes the Steelers and the Bengals. I would much rather have to face the Broncos or Texans on our way to the Patriots.

ok and i can respect your opinion... I'm just saying for me id rather win the Super Bowl beating the steelers 3 times like they did to us.... than them getting knocked out and we are guaranteed a flight to New England.... don't get me wrong either way i would be happy but it would make it that much sweeter don't you think?

And quit callin me bro k? :) Anyways back on topic, I don't think anybody is scared of anybody but they just want the easiest road because in the end it doesn't matter who we beat to win the Super Bowl as long as we do it.

I would not be opposed to thumping the Steelers one more time this season either. But I am not certain of the satisfaction level since they are so banged up. It wouldnt be much of a fight.

Nobody is saying they're scared of Pittsburgh, but it isn't smart to want the hardest road possible. If we could get the Texans at home while the Patriots had to deal with the Steelers, that would be a huge advantage. I don't see why you wouldn't want that.

I am assuming that somewhere in that broken English you are suggesting that if we do not play and beat the Steelers in the playoffs, we do not deserve to be in the SB. To that I say Huh? Correct me if I am wrong but I am reasonably certain that playing the Steelers is not a requirement to be in the SB. Being there would pretty much denote that one deserves to be there. Right?
lol my apologies i didn't read it twice... but while your on my nuts ill break it down to you as well "jaege??" of course its not a requirement.... but if we can't beat them in the playoffs we aren't the best team in the AFC...they are.... simple as that.... was that spelled correctly enough for you?

I don't blame Ravens fans for being confident. The Ravens are a very solid team in all phases and except for the SD game, have played well down the stretch. The Steelers have not looked like a team ready to go deep in the playoffs. Staying healthy is a huge part of making a post season run and the Steelers are not anywhere near healthy. (Not an excuse, a reality) To be completely honest, the Ravens look like the most likely team to emerge from the AFC. The biggest hope I have as a Steeler fan is that the Denver game turns out to be a good thing. That can only happen if the Steelers use it to play their way out of this funk and no more key players get hurt or exacerbate injuries.

However, I understand the Ravens fans who don't want to see the team play a division foe for the third time. The familiarity makes those kinds of games crazy sometimes. But the bottom line is...it doesn't matter if the fans are "scared" or not. None of the players on either team will be afraid. And since going to Baltimore would mean the Steelers won their first round game...I am sure that Ben, Troy and Company would be happy to have the opportunity.
