Why Is Everybody So Scared Of Pittsburgh

240 posts in this topic

Personally i want to see them in the playoffs because I'm confident in my team.... everybody on here is talking about rooting for the texans ?? what kind of crap is that.... I'm not rooting for anybody but OUR ravens and nothing is going to come easy..... i know for a fact our ravens can beat the steelers this year in the playoffs and know we will have so much fire and play with much more intensity then if we played the garbage texans.... think about how confident and more hungry our raven team will be when we beat the steelers in the playoffs after what they have done to us in previous years guys... Our Super Bowl run will only be complete if we take out the steelers....Once we beat them ill know for a fact this is our year.... does anybody agree?

I will even go out on a limb on this one and say that we will destroy Pittsburgh this year.

If they play like they have the last 5 weeks, they will squeek by Denver, unless Tebow..Tebows them (unlikely 3 points won't cut it), then we should destroy them. Ben has looked awful, slow, and inaccurate. Mendenhall is out, tho honestly, i wouldn't care if he was playing he has never done anything against us. Flacco plays great against them, Ray Rice does too, our players want it more. I wouldn't be shocked if we did destroy them. Also, the players will remember the playoff game because you bet our home fans have not forgotten and will show it by being giving our players the loudest game the Bank has ever seen.

but think about it. if we can play the texans and beat them. and the steelers can beat the patriots, we would play them in the afc championship. now that would be a good game!

Well, let's see. I hate the song "Renegade" thanks to the yellow toilet towel waving, mullet wearing, toothless Steelers fans. I so loved us beating them twice this year. I'm not sad that Mendenhall is out for the playoffs. I'm kind of wishing that Rothlesberger is not over his ankle by the 15th. Most of all, I'd love to pay them back for eliminating us last year. Still, if they lose to the Broncos, then I'll be happy to see them lose. All I know is that we rule the roost at M & T. I predict pain for the other team.

I honestly don't care one bit who we play to get to the super bowl as long as we win. But winning at home against Pittsburgh and in Foxboro would no doubt be the sweetest thing ever. My ideal situation however would be to play Houston first then host the AFC title game against Pittsburgh.

I don't think anyone is scared of the Steelers, per say. I just look at all of the teams and think that the one team in the AFC that is the most complete, next to the Ravens, is Pittsburgh. Denver, Houston and Cinci are starting young, unproven quarterbacks. New England's defense is suspect and has been all year. Pittsburgh has an elite defense, elite quarterback, and they've had our number in recent years (not this one, though). If it came down to it, I believe we can beat all of the other teams, and I say that with confidence. People look at Tom Brady, but they seem to forget that Flacco and this offense have maybe faced one or two bottom 10 passing defenses all season. What we've seen this offense do has been against top 10 passing defenses almost every week. I have full confidence that our offense can put points up on the board in Foxborough. I am wary of the Steelers because they are very good in almost every aspect of the game, while all other teams are seriously flawed in some aspect.

I think he's just saying we should be happy no matter what teams we have to face. He's not saying he's scared of Pittsburgh at all.

The path of least resistance is the best path. Could the Ravens beat Pitt? Of course. But I'd prefer it if they didn't have to. Go Denver.

I prefer to see the Steelers in the playoffs now. They are hurt and we know how to beat them. We're in their heads. Problem is our old foes are hurt and will need to limp their way over to our house. They have a good chance of defeating the Broncos. Not sure how well they'll fare against Brady and co. If they can win then I'll happily see them in M&T for the championship. Question is what happens to the Bengals. Now if they can surprise us all and get through the Texans and Patriots, then we'll be able to play both our division rivals to get to the SB. That would be sweet.

Then I hope we meet the 49ers in Indy so we can repeat the Har-bowl game. That would make great television. Only ones I really don't care to watch in the SB are the Patriots or Packers. They are boring teams to watch.

he said the post we are gonna regret... meaning if we play the steelers I'm going to regret this which I'm not..if we can't beat the steelers in the playoff in baltimore we have no business playing this the super bow point blank.... and my post wasn't referring to everybody.... the scenario where we play houston first then pittsburgh in the abc CG is AMAZINGl but I'm mainly talking about the people that are saying "oh gosh man i really hope pitt gets knocked out so we don't have to play them" ......so u can hop off his balls now bro

Who's scared of Pittsburgh? I just want them to play the Patriots.

if you look at some other posts people are like praying for them to get knocked out so we don't have to see them...not everybody bro

Here's to facing YATES, TEBOW, and then ALEX SMITH on our way to trophy #2

If Big Ben or The golden boy happen to get in the way then they can go down too...but no I won't be praying to God to face a 2 QBs that have faired pretty well against us...and have multiple championships among them..
