Sending All Positive Vibes To Tim Tebow And The Broncos

57 posts in this topic

C'mon Ravens Nation. Sure, the Ravens will have to beat whoever they play regardless but lets all send some crazy positive energy over to Tim Tebow and the Broncos for now and hope they can knock off the Steelers in the 1st round. Go Tim Tebow and the Broncos!!! (for 1 game anyway)

My hate for the Steelers organization on the whole and all their players is the only force capable of overcoming the hate I have for Tim Tebow. For one weekend, and one weekend only, I will have the support the worst starting player at any position in the league. I'm getting sick just thinking about it, but Denver would be a really easy victory for the Ravens the week after.

I'd guess that's probably the main reason why.

Don't get me wrong. I do not consider Tebow to be more than a flash in the pan, but all the irritating hype is not his fault. That is the media's doing.

Steelers D is going to make Tebow look like a chump. Tebow is going to HAVE to be accurate to win this game. The trickery and college offense is cooked. Teams have figured out what Denver wants to do know and they can't do it.

Though. One hit by Von Miller on Ben and who knows? I've seen stranger things happen than a Denver win against the Steelers.

Now, I think you are spot on here. I really didn't give the Tebows a chance vs us or the Steelers D. However, Pitt is kind of beat up right now. To the point that Tomlin is considering asking Clark to play, which IMO is just low, I don't care what the doctors SAY because they can't KNOW how his body will respond.

It wouldn't really be as much fun as I'd first thought to see Pitt get Tebowed. Only because with the amount of injuries they have at the moment, that will be their fall back excuse.

I believe the Steelers could bring back Neil O'Donnell, maybe even Kordell Stewart, and win this game. As long as the Steelers don't turn the ball over, I don't see how Denver could win. But, as crazy as this season has been, not much of anything would surprise me at this point.

Apparently, Tomlin has informed Ryan Clark that he will not be playing in this game.

They probably don't need him in this game. But that's another big loss for the Steelers for this game.

No Ryan Clark, no Mendenhall and Ben is banged up. Willis McGahee knows this defense, Von Miller and Elvis Dumervil WILL get to the QB, and Champ Bailey will probably be on Wallace. I don't think some people are giving the Broncos enough credit. If Tebow is accurate in the pocket and uses his legs to his advantage, I wouldn't be shocked to see the Steelers lose.

I just received an ESPN mobile alert confirming it. Clark isn't playing. The Steelers are actually treating a player's health with respect for once.

Good point...McGahee might be the difference on Sunday.

I'm glad to hear this. The article from earlier today said that they were strongly considering his playing (after medical clearance) due to some other injuries and such. In the end it's just a game and not worth dying over.

Yea and I think the Broncos' defense is going to force a lot of turnovers. The Steelers are limping in just like the Texans. But as we all know, Pitt is still extremely tough to beat

Yea. While the stars are aligning for Denver. And they have Tebow on their side. The Steelers always find a way to win these type matches.

Its Good vs. Evil. Looks like Evil will prevail.

I agree.. I still can't even believe the Broncos are in, but it's a one game season from here on out. I'll be a Denver fan for one day and one day only.

The Steelers have a lot of playoff experience and it is pretty much a long shot for Denver to win but i am hoping for a bitter cold and gusty day there that would affect Ben more passing than Tebow and it would be a battle of the run all day. I am feeling lucky and might put some money on Denver to win!

Neither am I. But that sounds like a horrible bet. The Steelers win and you lose your money.

I'd rather place my money on the Steelers. Because if they win, I win! If they lose, I am still smiling like hell.

This is just a silly comment. The Steelers care about their players health. Thats why they have so many long term guys and keep having success. This is just another Baltimore Raven fans misconception that gets passed on over and over...and its completely baseless and silly.

We can hope for the best at least. Nothing wrong with a little innocent positive thought toward the Broncos. Doesn't cost anybody anything and if there is even the slimmest chance it could help...why not right?

I would say that I always felt the Steelers did care about their players. There have been many questionable things that went on this season though to point to a somewhat different philosophy.

I wish I remembered games but honestly, I don't. I only know what I saw and I watch every single Steelers' game because the bf is a Steelers fan and I live in Steeler County.

Clark goes down. Motionless on the field, clearly knocked out. He is brought to the sidelines after he is finally revived. Pitt calls it a "stinger" (hardly, stingers cause pain, not motionlessness) and puts him back in. You can clearly tell through the rest of the game that he is not himself and is not all there.

They have hidden behind "concussion like symptoms" all season long for various players.

Pouncey is limping, grimacing every time he moves from pain, and yet, he is left in there. Yes, I know he shook his head about coming out but it is up to the coaching staff to protect players from themselves. Finally, when he can't go anymore, he is taken out. Just playing Ben was ridiculous to the extreme. Especially putting him right back in when his leg bent like no leg should bend.

You are hobbling into the playoffs. Some injuries are just what they are, but your QB could be much healthier. If the Steelers really cared about the health of their players.

Ray Lewis wanted to go in every game he missed this season. The trainers and coaches told him no because that is their job. To protect players from themselves when they are injured.

What you are proposing essentially says: The Steelers are willing to risk losing their Super Bowl winning QB permanently so he can finish a particular game. Even though they went 2 decades without a Super Bowl before this QB came along, hey, so what, we can find another one in 20 years...sure, play if you want to Ben. You are saying: The Steelers are willing to sacrifice their young Pro-Bowl center (even though their O-line is a huge issue), nevertheless, they are willing to risk losing him long term to get him to finish one particular game. So what if we can't solidify the line for another couple seasons...he has got to finish this game!

You are suggesting that you and your fellow Ravens fans, from a distance, are much more capable of evaluating the proper use of Steeler players than the coaches and medical staff that work with them every day.

To be honest, "silly" is far to mild and kind of a term to apply to this particular Raven fan myth.

They pretty much proved that in the 49ers game. He was clearly not only badly injured but ineffective. Still, they left him in the entire game. Taking multiple hits I might add even when the game was done. Still he was in there. Flash forward to the Browns' game which you didn't need him to win and he was in there until the last snap.
