Come on man...the spaceship wasn't enough of a hint? Do I actually have to write "SARCASM" at the bottom of my sarcastic posts? That's no fun...

Man, these days you just never know.

im a flacco "hater" if you want to call it that. but who cares. he played well yesterday and we won the division. no need to stir up a flacco debate all the time. i think everyone should be too excited to get into another stupid flacco argument right now we have 3 more games. lets just focus on that

With the win over the Bengals on Sunday, Joe Flacco became the only quarterback in NFL history to win 44 games in his first four seasons.

WOW. Elvis grbac couldnt do it; chris redman couldnt do it; randall cunningham couldnt do it; and kyle boller couldnt do it. Dont give me that BS. Don't forget joe had an awesome career last year and an aweful conservative offensive coordinator so we know he has what it takes to be an elite qb and we know where the poison lies. Don't say anyone could of done it because we have never had a young qb at this caliber. Just wait until we get a different offensive coordinator and joe grows even more in the nfl. Look at the defenses joe has faced also. Take it somewhere else.

He's being sarcastic. He's a Flacco supporter.

Joe Flacco finished the season with 542 Attempts 312 Completions for 3610 yards. He threw for 20 TDs and had 12 Interceptions. As for toughness, he was sacked 31 times and is still standing on both feet. He rarely complains and always wants to stay in the game. He may not be the best QB in the playoffs but he is our QB. I think we will be just fine in the playoffs.

Despite only throwing 19 passes, I thought Flacco looked good yesterday. I'm confident in Flacco going into the playoffs.

Unfortunately, I am not confident in the OC.

Jarrett Johnson won 44 games in 4 years too. Played in every game since 2008. Wheres his credit?

Point being that

While football is definitely a team sport, the quarterback affects the team's win loss recod more than any single player in any sport, so I do believe this holds a lot of merit.

Goalies, Pitchers, QBs all are measured by wins but like ive said before, a goalie can give up 4 goals and his team can win with 5, yet on score sheet he gets win. Pitchers can throw a 2 hitter but how many outs were made by strikes and how many were made by the defense making spectacular plays.

If we are going to measure any one for wins on offense its Ray Rice.

Well, I was sorta playing around, but I do agree that the win/loss is geared too much to the QB.

Teams have won 44 games in the course of 4 years (maybe even less) before. That isn't news. What is unique about this situation is that Joe Flacco was a rookie quarterback when this streak began. That is something that has never been done before and that is why it is being celebrated.

Passer ratings aren't technically for individuals either. Quarterbacks generally don't catch their own passes, nor block for themselves, but I digress...

Edit: JJ was commended for playing in 100 consecutive games, if it makes you feel any better. ;)

lol

Unless we lose. Then losses are for Joe Flacco.

I agree that it is a team sport. However, for those who keep laying all the losses at Joe's feet, and all the flack he takes, he's earned the right to take the credit for those 44 wins.

No, just saying it's a stupid stat line.

I just find it funny when people blame Flacco for a loss, you people will say we lost as a team or it was cams fault. But if wonderboy gets "44 wins", its because of him....

When have I EVER changed my stance??? We had good defense/run game prior to him..... Yet we only made the playoffs 4 times in 9 years...... And Ray and Ed were mostly in their Primes....
