I'm an old Deadhead.
Don't listen to much rap but my favorite Reggae singer has always been Jimmy Cliff.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGE4dnrPPZQ

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lkMzuXlKQv8

He has many albums but I've listened to these three the most;
Harder They Come
Release Date: 1972
Label: Divine Recordings

Struggling Man
Release Date: 1973
Label: Mango

Follow My Mind
Release Date: 1976
Label: WEA International

Rap tracks that I've been hooked on for a while now:
Kardinal Offishall ft. The Clipse - Set It Off
Royce Da 5'9" - It's The New ("The Bar Exam II" track - remix of T.I.'s "Swing Ya Rag")
Kidz in the Hall ft. Sean Price & Buckshot - The Pledge
AZ - The Format
Little Brother - Life of the Party (Remix)
T.I. & Jay-Z ft. Kanye West & Lil' Wayne - Swagga Like Us
Chamillionaire - On The Grind Homie ("Mixtape Messiah 4" track - remix of Shawty Lo's "Foolish")

R&B tracks:
Joe - We Need to Roll
J. Holiday - Come Here
Lloyd - Sex Education
Musiq Soulchild - ridethrough (bonus track from "luvnmusiq")
Nina Sky ft. Rick Ross - Curtain Call
The-Dream - Should've Been You
Ryan Leslie ft. Cassie & Fabolous - Addiction

For the record, Kardinal Offishall is technically a rapper, but he's reggae-influenced. If you listen to any of his songs, you'll know what I mean.
50 newest album is coming on next month i think, check it out. its called "Before i self destruct"
The official release date is December 9th. His first single, "Get Up," was better than I thought it'd be. The production by Scott Storch is a little lazy, but the lyrics weren't as lax as I've come to expect from 50. Not exactly as good as "Get Rich or Die Tryin'," but still better than stuff from "The Massacre" and definitely better than "Curtis"...*shudder*

But, this single probably won't be that big. It's not nearly as catchy as "I Get Money" was.

As for Eminem, I refuse to buy his next solo album until he officially reforms his "Bad vs. Evil" act with Royce Da 5'9" and they record that dream album with DJ Premier producing.

After hearing Royce's "The Bar Exam II" mixtape, I'm just begging for a major label to pick him up again so he can finally blow up the way he should've years ago...

I think the best track on MM4 is Hero or My Dream (feat akon)[but I only really like the hook]

Oh, and the first skit is hillarious.

His version of "Hero" is OK, but his version of the hook is kind of corny. He would've been better off just having no hook or keeping the original hook intact.

I used to like his singing gimmick, but now, it's gotten to be stale.

I like his singing. He's a pretty decent singer. It's a nice changeup. And that way he doesn't have to fork out for a sample or a collaborator.

I'm sorry, but Gucci Mane is why people outside of hip-hop think all rap music is garbage.

And I really hope 92Q isn't playing any of his music. I haven't listened to the radio probably since before K-Swift passed away...that's how long it's been.

(RIP DJ K-Swift, btw)

Man, I assume if you like reggae, you love Peter Tosh. If you don't know him, he's most definitely the 2nd best reggae singer of all time.
