2011 AFC North Champions and #2 Seed!

162 posts in this topic

Come on, everybody, it's time to celebrate this team for its efforts this season. We swept the AFC North, went undefeated at Home, earned the #2 seed, first round bye, and Home playoff game.

What a year, Ravens and Ravens Nation!!

More work to do, but enjoy this moment!

6-0 in a division where 3 teams are in the playoffs and the Ravens have swept the other two. Time to take the AFC crown!

Absolutely. We all have time to moan about something later (and you know that's coming) but people, take a few minutes and soak in what this team has accomplished.

I'm so proud of our guys!

Despite the chronic complaining in these forums about just about everything, this has been an incredibly enjoyable year: 8-0 at home, sweeping the division, and soon our first home playoff game since 2006!

I'm a happy fan.

It was a thing of beauty to see Ray Rice run tonight. +200 yard rush, 2TD, and he leads in NFL in total yardage in 2011 season as a RB.

So happy we accomplished this. Ray Rice is my hero right now. Can't wait to watch some stress free NFL playoff action next week while my boys rest up. Well, I might get a little stressed if the Pittsburgh game is close, but I expect them to bury Tebow. The Broncos are coming in with absolutely zero momentum.

Through all the ups and downs of this season, sometimes it's hard to put the bigger picture in perspective. Step one was to win the division - mission accomplished. Step 2 was the fortunate result of step 1 - we have secured a bye week and at least one home playoff game. The team will rest up, and hopefully Q will get healthy and be primed to go in two weeks. Congratulations to all of the Ravens players and staff (yes, even you Cam) for a terrific regular season, and let's carry that momentum into the playoffs. Now on to step 3 - the Lombardi Trophy.

Lets make it count! GO RAVENS!!

We could've won more games, but we got the bye, and now everybody is 0-0. It's time to assert ourselves and take home the trophy!

Thanks to John Harbaugh, Chuck Pagano, and even Cam Cameron, for leading us to a 12-4 season, undefeated in the division season!

But most of all, thank you to all the players who have helped contribute to a special experience. The fans are grateful to have great players like you.

Now lets go win that Superbowl!

It has been a season to put some of those "they can't" statements to rest.

Sweep the Steelers check
8-0 @ Home check
Sweep the Division check
Take the AFCN crown check
First round bye check
Home playoff game check

Way to go Ravens!

Now let's take that next step and go to Indy!

Not only did we go 6-0 in the division, but this was the first time the Ravens have ever gone 6-0 in the division since realignment. (Though technically the first time the Ravens have gone undefeated in the division ever too.)

That was the most annoying thing to hear during the offseason. Now everyone that said all that have to eat their crow. Just one more thing we "can't" do on the list.

We'll be going in two weeks as well! I honestly feel like we will slap any team we play besides Cincy. Houston is crippled, TebowTime is over, the Steelers and Mendenhall are banged up, and NE has no defense. They've come back two weeks in a row, but not against good defenses like ours. Cincy has played us very tough both times. They're the only team that makes me nervous in this whole bracket really.

Congrats Ravens

The pessimist inside me thought we would find a way to lose this division to the Steelers but the guys played big today..

Here's to the Texans and Broncos winning next week ...

I plan on getting my tickets and a flight up to go with my friend. It will be an awesome feeling at The Bank in two weeks. I'm so proud of the entire team and John Harbaugh for what he has done. Look I think we all know Cam has to go regardless Super Bowl victory or not but Harbaugh and Flacco make it 4 straight seasons of making the playoffs, no other coach and QB combination can say that. The Jets miss the playoffs ending Rex's and Sanchez's chances at trying to catch us... Indianapolis Here Comes the Ravens!

If I must say, I honestly believe we'll be facing Houston who will beat Cincy and Pittsburgh will play New England.

Someone can feel free to do the research but I don't thing the Stoolers swept the division all the years they won (harbaugh era). THey always had one get away from them.Very happy to be in this position but still sick to my stomach about the possibilities we let slip away with the #1 seed.

The year we won the Super Bowl we did have 8 division wins...lol We were 8-2 in the division i believe with losses to the Titans and Steelers, swept Jville, Cincy, Cleveland

First I would like to say congradulations to Baltimore Ravens Nation! We are by far the classiest sports team and one of the most talented I know of! We have waited a long time for this. Many of us remember Baltimore lit up with purple lights and fireworks on Fourth of July,New Years, and our Super Bowl XXXV victory. This is Ravenstown. I cannot say how proud I am of this organization and the fans. I will now go to my first ever playoff game (season ticket holder)! Of course, we are not done. The road to Festivus Maximus goes through here! We will win the biggest NFL game of the season. Merry Christmas (Happy birthday Jesus!) and Happy New Year! Welcome 2012! Go Ravens!
