I'm not trying to defend Sanchez or anything but I have a problem with whoever said this about Sanchez then hiding behind anonymous. Ray Lewis said it best, this is a MAN'S Game. If whoever said it is man enough to say it behind his back but then not be man enough to own up to what you said? Clearly whoever said it isn't a MAN and is like a high school KID who spreads gossip and then when asked about it, say they didn't do it, and right now whoever said it is being a wuss and isn't Man Enough to own up to what he said so GET OUT OF FOOTBALL, it's a MAN's GAME!

I understand what you're saying, but this is the face of the franchise. Whoever it is, I bet if his name comes after that quote he is gone .. period. Fired. I'd almost bet it's a guy who is busting his rear end in practice, making a small fraction of what Sanchez does (over $14million this year) and he had enough.

More than ANYTHING, a man takes care of his family first and foremost. Not sure how getting fired does that.

-Edited- Forgot to add: Don't forget that the New York Daily News reported that a number of key Jets players had all questioned Sanchez's work ethic.

Nick Mangold said essentially the same thing and seemed pretty pissed off at all the anonymous stuff being said.

Sanchez does have supporters as well as detractors. I for one am very glad we don't have such dysfunction.

I kind of get the feeling that a big part of the problems in that locker room are due to Rex Ryan handing out that Captain patch like it was a gold star instead of making guys Captain based on accomplishment, temperment and effort. When you see Santonio Holmes with a [C] on his shoulder, it kind of makes you wonder what that's worth on that team.

There seems to be a lot of division there. Even in Mangold's interviews you hear it. Instead of addressing the issue, the thing he said quite a few times is they're going to figure out who it is and get that locker room cleared out.

Here is the thing though.

This implosion by the Jets is a trickle down effect yet, Ryan is coming out unscathed.

I am forever grateful that we did NOT hire this guy as HC.

Ozzy has made plenty of mistakes in the past (drafting Boller and Clayton, signing Grbac) he's just more than made up for them by absolutely crushing enough of the draft picks out of the ballpark to make up for them... Jonathan Ogden, Ray Lewis, Peter Boulware, Duane Starks, McAlister, Jamal Lewis, Heap, Reed, Suggs, Ngata, Grubbs, Flacco. Geez... just listing them off like that, it's ridiculous.

I know at one point in the past, 50% of the Ravens first round draft picks made the Pro Bowl in their SECOND year. Thought that was back through 2005, when Suggs/Boller finished up their second year.

I didn't, I was just focusing on the first round picks instead of going back and looking at all of the 2nd round picks. Ray Rice was the only big hit from that group other than possibly Jamie Sharper.

But, to be fair to Ray Rice, he has out performed the other 6 running backs that were picked before him in that draft, including Darren McFadden who was picked 4th overall.

I think the article also said that Sanchez gets coddled and that he gets all whiney, cry baby upset when people criticize him.

“They treat him like a baby instead of a man. He goes in a hole when someone tells him the truth.”

With that being said "It's a Man's game"
