New Years Meal

Just threw in a 5 pound prime rib, jammed with whole garlic clove, seared first in EVO and a secret rub! Add to that, fresh green beans (cooked al dente), red skin potatoes, salad and a nice glass of red and we're in for a good night!

York County New Year's tradition:

pork and sauerkraut for good luck...with mashed taters.

Only time of year that I eat sauerkraut....but I'll get it late as I'm hanging with my Crew to watch the game this afternoon.

Was this breakfast for dinner or what you were planning for this morning? I love cooking breakfast for dinner! The wife and I throw a little Asian flare into with white rice and fried spam. Never had spam until I met her, though....if cooked properly, its actually pretty good.

Yeah, it was just one of those things growing up that was kind of taboo. Like "yikes, you eat Spam? What the hell is wrong with you?" But now, I love it!

It's gotten a little pricey over the years lol. If I don't feel like spam though, I'll put some black forest ham in my omelette's. I grew up with spam.. My parents used to buy it like the world was running out of it

For New Year's Eve, my buddy and I split 50 wings and a large pizza. Nothing special, we just felt like pigging out.

My parents threw a big party for family and friends on New Year's Day. I was too "incapacitated" to really join in, so I just had sushi for my first meal of the new year. Philadelphia rolls, to be exact; cream cheese, rice, salmon and/or tuna, and something else I forgot.
