Steelers V. Ravens III Almost Certain To Happen In Divisional Round

21 posts in this topic

If the Ravens or Steelers are the 5th seed either of them are almost certain to beat the Raiders or the Broncos. Which means they play in the Divisional Round. Only thing to be decided is where it will be. Ravens have the inside track on that. Here we go again....

I would LOVE to see the Broncos beat you guys. To watch Tomlin get Tebowed would be just precious to me.

Wonder if Tomlin would try and unleash hell for that game?

Yeah, unfortunately one of the teams will be coming off a bye and the other will have had to play a road game on the west coast against a team that they're better than. Reseeding would be nice some day.

Not so fast on that..... Patriots probably will beat Buffalo so that will give them the 1 Seed leaving Ravens-Steelers to battle for the 2 seed. The 1 Seed plays the LOWEST seed remaining which means there is a good chance the 5th Seed will win, and quite honestly I think the Texans will beat the 6th seed meaning that the 5th Seed would go to the Patriots and the 2nd seed would play the highest Seed Remaining meaning Houston and that Ravens/Steelers wouldn't meet until the AFC Championship game if either team makes it that far. Now if the 6th Seed were to beat Houston, and the 5th seed would win, then Ravens/Steelers would meet in the divisional round but let's not act like this is a foregone conclusion they will meet and hold up on that and let's get through Week 17.

This. Whoever ends up being the 6 seed is not going to be a very strong team. Jets, Titans, Bengals, some AFC West scrub? None of those teams scare me, especially on the road and I think even the banged up Texans could get a win at home in the WC round. Now thats not guaranteed to happen, but I think its more likley the Ravens see Pitt in the AFCCG than in the Divisional Round.

Denver has a fierce pass rush, and should they end up playing the Steelers with a hobbled Ben, they have as good a shot as any.

Except the Steelers will stop McGahee and any other HB plug they use to spell McGahee with just their front 7.

Hahahahahaha ... if Denver meets any of the top AFC defenses, they are going to be crushed. Two of the worst defenses in the league manhandled that offense (New England and Buffalo). There's enough film on that offense now that good DC's are salivating to get their shot at Tebow. You get up a couple touchdowns on them and Tebow has to throw, Denver is up a creek without a paddle.
