are you saying harbs is wrong in your infinite wisdom that those dropped passes wouldent extend those drives you know joe said something similar in the quote that this is about he said they went conservative because they were missing catches and misthrowing and it was about how what they do is never good enough for the media and i think some fans(you know who you are)

wow some truth amongst a deluge of opinions

here it is again
look at you all just licking your chops over this juicy morsel of a quote too bad you got the intention behind it incorrect using what i like to call the "media corps method" when a quote is manipulated to fit ones perspective. the full quote to me seems like a critique on media coverage and how they are never pleased. if flacco is criticizing anyone its special teams maybe the d slightly. in the meat of the quote Flacco just shows he wants to take control, correct mistakes, and blow people out with his arm. which is alright with me

the full answer to the question is: " we didn't come out and play the way we wanted to obviously. I think there's been games this year where we came out and thrown the ball because we've been down a lot and you guys have all complained about it and now this week we came out and honestly played conservative and when we didn't we missed a couple plays there was a drop or a miss throw here so I wish you guys woulda helped me out a little bit here and start complaining a little bit that we were playing a little too conservatively and put pressure on our coaches to not do that. we're getting better each week and we got a lot of talent just a matter of going out there and executing plays and doing it for a full sixty minutes i think if we do that we will be happy we cant let teams back in games it helps those guys out when they get a special teams return for a touchdown and just like that they could be back in the game with one offensive drive if we play as a team and stopped those things we woulda ran away with that game a little better"

i guess its just a matter of perspective really.....
i simply stated what the coach said and you have a problem with that? smh! besides, i noticed that you managed to conveniently leave out of the purple color in your post...two major portions of Joe's comments about the playcalling being conservative so i took the liberty of highlighting the actual point of this thread in black underline for you! for more clarity on this issue....see the link in the following quote of Grapple!

"Pancake social"? This isn't a joke, Cam. Joe is right and was correct in what he said. That did nothing to Cam and it more or less went in one ear and out the other, guaranteed!!

You can't read it as "message received" when he says in the very same quote that he doesn't think we went conservative vs the Browns in the 2nd half. I mean, c'mon, THAT is worrisome.

There are those about but you can check my history of posts, I'm not one of them.

We took stabs on 3rd downs. Sorry but run, run, pass, drop, punt. Yeah, that's pretty conservative.

Positivity is fine but denial is another thing altogether.

Even when the offense is running a hurry up,
Cam when still be calling plays slowing up the offense to point of the offense not being a "true hurry up".
Every week the team gets a first down, then getting in and out of the huddle everyone looks confused, dumbfounded, and disgusted because Cam gets the play in late, and they blow a Timeout. Basically Cam Cameron micromanages this offense to the point of Failure...
Glad I'm not the only one noticing that, more often than not, the offense gets lined up with 10 seconds or less on the playclock. Look at the truly good offenses in this league like the Packers, Saints, and Patriots for instance. McCarthy, Payton, and NE's OC get their plays called in to their QBs with plenty of time to make adjustments based on what the defense is showing. I am not implying that Joe can read everything he see's as astutely as Brady, Rodgers, or Brees, but he has seen enough in his 4 years that he may be able to make a change to the offense's advantage. You don't think a vet Pro Bowler like Birk wouldn't benefit from some extra time to look at the defense and slide protections, etc if he sees something? I think a lot of Cam's "problems" we complain about could very easily be helped if he just gave his offense some extra time to look at the defense instead of being so lackadaisical wgetting his plays in.

Im waiting for Flacco to be in the huddle and say screw it we are going to do this play.

When that happens , we will have a great offense and Flacco on his way to excel to the next level of Q.backing.

Well, this opens up a new can of worms. Now the Flacco haters are gonna go back to saying that Joe doesn't take accountability for the offense and that it's wrong for him to throw his coaches under the bus.

Way to go Joe, just step up and perform this week!
No, actually, all I want to say is... apparently those "wacco for Flacco" people completely missed the sarcasm that was oozing from Joe's comments. He was making fun of the media, and in turn... fun of the fans that routinely complain about the offense and playcalling. He was actually taking accountability for his play, and the offense's play a whole... in my opinion.

This is my feeling too. It's the reason I think he doesn't get a wristband. Then he'd be able to go outside of Cam's calls. Harder to do without the myriad plays on your wrist.
Good point. Never thought of that. If Joe's an elite QB where's his wristband, Cam?

Dude. We're not talking about running vs passing. We're talking about predictability in the offense. Come-on man! If I can call pass or run don't you think the opponent's DC can do it too? Against Cleaveland I called the 2nd half 100%. Cam has no imagination.

Same here, I forgot about that too; besides, if Cam thinks audible is overrated, so why would he give Joe the wristband? The dude is forever the control freak. I'll never be the same me when talking about Cam. I'm gonna save up all my Cam complains and explode them like 4th of July in the offseason.

I'm going to drink my coolaid to cool off..............

So, this seems to be a peculiarity of the Air Coryell and not just another example of Cam being a micro-managing control freak (for which there is other evidence, such as accounts given by former Ravens).

Well I can go with that. The kicker for me with Cam though, pretty much the straw that broke the camel's back, was (and forgive me, I don't recall the game) when we're running the hurry up and you can see Cam calling the plays, Joe looking to the sidelines for the play, Joe getting ticked because the play is taking forever to get in, and us having to waste a time out. Why? Because Cam couldn't let Joe call his own plays in the hurry up.

this makes sense. however, i saw something on a show the other day that was interesting. i believe that the show was Purple Passion (i can't remember) where one of the analysts mentioned that he spoke with Cam about Joe Flacco's role of being able to call plays from the huddle. the analyst stated that Cam told him that "there is a reason why you don't let QBs call their own plays...they are human! and that if there are incentives in their contracts for them to reach a certain amount of passing yards that they would be "tempted" to go after that instead of the original gameplan." it was something to that affect. sorry, i don't have a link and i should have recorded that show.

Wait... did Cam Cameron just admit to being an alien?

The way he worded that was that QBs are human and prone to make mistakes... but since he's not human he doesn't?

If we don't make it deep in the playoffs I believe Harbs will be under fire and will have no choice but to stop pandering to Cam. Maybe it's just me but I have been getting sick of Harbough the past few weeks. I know it's nessesary to show team unity but in case you have not noticed your players are getting sick of it and are expressing what we all feel. Except for you of course. Be a man Jim! Stop blaming dropped passes or poor execution.

Every year, all of the teams try to make it to the playoffs. We have made it again. Win or lose no one can take that accomplishment away from us. There will be many teams watching the playoffs at home who wish they could trade places with us. Still, there are many fans who aren't satisfied with a wildcard berth. We have had our share of successes and disappointments this season. It's playoff time and the road to a home playoff game goes through Cincy. We must win today.

to my earlier post...it was on the Purple Passion show and Stan White said that he interviewed Cam Cameron the other day and this is what Cam said...

"Cam brought out a good point when we did the interview yesterday with him that the offense plays not to put up stats but to win the game and if you are up 17 to nothing or 20 to nothing on the cleveland browns and they can't get a first down against the Ravens defense you don't go out there winging the ball around and give them a chance to get back in the game.."

here is the link it starts @ 2:09 http://www.baltimore...a50c3e6ae5a17a9
