Will Terrell Suggs Pass Peter Boulware's Franchise Sack Record?

As a lot of you know, Terrell Suggs has 13 sacks, 2 less than Peter Boulware's franchise record set back in 2001. He hasn't had any since the Indy game, and didn't record any vs. Cinci the first time we played. He has, though, recorded 3 sacks in 3 different games this year, and it seems like he's had spurts followed by lulls in the sack department. Do you guys think that Suggs can either tie or pass Peter's record this Sunday?

Nope. I'm not as afraid of Whitworth as Jamal is lol, but racking up 3 sacks, especially against a good LT, is asking a heck of a lot. At best, he'll tie the record

He's still there. He's had some weight issues I believe, but apparently has worked on them. And he's had quite a few injury problems - 2 foot fractures I think. I doubt he's quite what they envisioned when they drafted him 6th overall though. Not sure which side either of them is on, since Dalton's, I think, a lefty.

Whitworth was listed as limited in practice today , but maybe they're just giving him some rest. It would be good - for Suggs and the Ravens , anyway - if Whitworth is at less than 100% on Sun. Not so good for Dalton.

I don't see him getting 3 sacks to be honest. Although, I didn't think he'd have 3 against the 49ers so who knows?

It depends if the offense gets the Ravens out to a big lead early or not. Couple of turnovers and a good driver lead to a 21-0 lead, then I think Suggs can snag three sacks. Though I don't think the Ravens will get that big lead that early, so I doubt Suggs will end up beating the record.

Its not that I'm afraid of him, but dude is a beast.

The most underrated o-lineman in the NFL imo.

i would love to see the D switch it up and move suggs around, that would be very unexpected and would cause some damage

Unless he's being moved around a lot (Chuck should do that every once in a while *duh*) I don't think so. Whithworth is just an excellent pass protector. But Dalton is a rookie so maybe he'll hang on to the ball longer here and there to allow Suggs to get to him. But I doubt it. He's gonna break the record anyway, doesn't matter if he does it now or next week or next season. I don't know if playoff games count but you get my point I guess. I get your point, but I think he would've had it last year if playoffs counted. He tore it up in the postseason.

I like Suggs chances to at least tie. I am hoping he will break it though. Oh and have fumbles to go with them all.

He didn't break the sack record but he was able to set a new franchise record for forced fumbles in a season.
