Webb If You Read These Threads, Let Me Be The First To Say You Got Snubbed

38 posts in this topic

Webb got Snubbed bad this yr, if any CB deserves to go, WEBB earned it and deserved it. He has done nothing but become as Physical as ANY Cb in the league. He is almost a shut down Corner, next yr , i do think he will become a shut down. He has already started. They threw once his way on Sunday against the Browns, what happen, oh nothing just an INT. What did they do the rest of the game, oh nothing, except not throw it his way the rest of the yr. Just wait until next yr or in the Play offs and count how many times they throw it Webb's Way. I could go on and on and on. This is like beating a dead horse.

Also a strong Arguement could be made that Webb has been our Been Secondary player this yr and that is saying Whole Lot, when you have Ed Reed and B. Pollard in the backfield with him. I think Webb is a little bit of both of those guys combined, if you think about it Webb has Pollards Physicality and he also has Reeds Ball hawking skills with his Amazing interceptions, not just some bad throw right into Webb's hands, he has made some great Diving catches , when he catches it, he knows he will be getting a whole lot grass and dirt in his face. He has also made some Amazing in coverage catches. (makes you almost want him Lined up as a receiver. This is why i DO NOT WANT HIM RETURNING KICKS OR PUNTS, simply because he is Too valuable for this Team. We all see how our Defense as a whole plays without him.

( Samething could be said of how our Defense plays without my boy REDDING, please get well buddy, we need you, most underrated player on this team by far)

Guess is doesn't really matter, because the RAVENS are going to the SUPERBOWL.

Don't Worry Webby, us Fan in Baltimore and around the World love ya and know how much you are worth to this team. I hope you are a RAVEN for Life.

Yes he did and everyone that is a Ravens fan or has followed Webb this season knows it. He has been playing good ball and I am very proud to see how well he bounced back from his ACL tear. He jumps the receivers that he covers to get his interceptions. I get nervous watching him returning punts as the OP stated he is too much of value to this team. Webb is a true Raven on and off the field.

Somebody had an article up somewhere that showed Webb was among the league leaders in completion % against for a cornerback. He really should be in. Hopefully he does a few electric things in the playoffs and really gets noticed.

I love Webbie, one of my fav Ravens. Personally I dont care about any of our players making the Pro Bowl, nor am I offended some did not make it. I want our team to be practicing that week, getting ready for the Super Bowl rather then being on a plane to Hawaii.

You're still an extremely talented player, Webb. You don't need a Pro Bowl selection for everyone to know that. Just keep playing hard; you'll get yours.

This is Webb's breakout year so he hasn't had the notoriety of the other players in front of him. He'll get there soon enough.

Webb is awesome on and off the field. Awesome corner, team player, no ego, on the field.

Off the field he is a class act. He loves his fans.

Webb's been great but that doesn't mean I don't want him returning kicks. He's great at that too. It's just unfortunate that he has to fair catch so often. You can't let the threat of injuries make your team worse off. You just have to roll the dice on them.

Yes I have tuned into his weekly radio show the last few weeks and you described him perfectly. Dude is a baller!

Webb damn sure got snubbed. He was among the league leaders in tackles and interceptions for CBs and DBs in general. I also thought Ayanbadejo got snubbed as a ST player. Grubbs also probably would have deserved a spot had he not missed six games, but he had little choice, and I'm glad Yanda made it.

Does anyone doubt that Webb would have done better as WR in Lee Evans' spot ?

I wish we had a couple more just like him. CB , WR , FS , KR , PR - you name it , Webb would be good at it.

Webb is da beast in all phases of the football; I just feel Ozzie just flakes his wand to grab the steal.

Webb is well deserved to be in probowl, but in Ravens' eyes as teammates, coaches, personels, and fans know Webb is the best versatile shutdown CB.....

In addition, if this thread is also compilation of fans' appreciation to have Webb; I would like to place my vote for it....

Yeah he got snubbed, but hopefully after he comes back and has a bigger year next year, he'll finally get the attention he deserves.

Pro bowl voting is all about the names. Not many people outside of Baltimore know who Webb is. They will know very soon who is keeping the #21 legacy rolling in Baltimore

It's pretty true, you make the Pro Bowl a year after your break-out. It takes some time for players and coaches to recognize new guys, but if they are good enough the recognition will come. Just look at Marshall Yanda. I dont think he was anywhere close to the top of fan voting, but because of his stellar play over the past couple years he got his first Pro Bowl.

Webb is an excellent baller. When fans have a vote and they can vote endlessly then the whole thing is kind of debunked. It is a popularity contest for the fans.

Tim Tebow made it for cryin out loud. The Pro Bowl is an after thought and I never once cared for it.

I want rings and trophies and I am sure the players do to.

Champ Bailey basically made it in over Webb because of reputation.

Just remember that Ray Lewis and Ed Reed both got in on reputation alone, so it's just the nature of the beast when it comes to the Pro Bowl.

Did Webb deserve to get it, probably. Did Lewis and Reed deserve to get in, not as much.

Exactly what I was thinking. It is tough that Webb plays in a conference with Jonathon Joseph (where there is no argument that he deserves a pro bowl bid), Revis (no argument), and Champ Bailey. Bailey, I can understand why he got put in. Usually players are elected to the Pro Bowl after the second great season.

I agree that Reed got in on reputation alone but how can you say Ray Lewis got in there reputation alone? Who should of went before him? He graded out as the 5th best linebacker in the league this year and was even a defensive player of the week.

Ed Reed had 2 good games. Steelers and Jets.

Webb got snubbed big time

Ed Reed is my favorite player of all time, but Webb easily should have gotten a Pro Bowl nod over him this year, its really disappointing after all the hard work you can tell he put in on his own in the lockout. Hopefully we'll be in another Bowl and it won't matter.

This snubbing can only be a "good thing" for Webb, as he'll be even more determined to show what he's got and what the coaches, players, and fans missed... he's been a beast this year.

I agree but Champ Bailey hasn't done anything noteworthy this year and he gets selected over Webb??? B.S.
