Agreed. But, it says something about his performance lately that I was amazed he held onto the ball.

I like Dickson. I think both of these guys are great, for different reasons. I too think both of them should be on the field. I truly think we are a very lucky team to have both of these guys around.

Even if he had zero drops on the season, that was still a silly catch. He got popped! I agree about two TE sets. We ran a lot of 2 TE sets tonight...

I think Dickson has the potential to be top 10, he just has to stop with the bad drops and keep progressing.

Maybe. Cam doesn't make his players have less ability, he just don't know how to use them.

Gronk has ability that Pitta doesn't have, that's not Cam's fault

we are going down on players way too soon. dickson has all the tools to be a great tight end. he will be great!

pitta is already like 27? i don´t want to take anything away from him but none of those have the ability that gronk has. i wanted the gronk very bad that draft day and i am still pissed off that we didn´t take him! but i also don´t think that he would have had the same career in baltimore that he is having right now. we should´t forget that he is thrown passes to by tom brady...

bottom line is: we have two good tight ends that both could end up having great careers with the ravens. only time will tell...

Pitta just turned 26, FYI. Definitely older for a second year player, but the dude can ball for sure!

The TE coach designed a very nice package with Pitta on the outside (he started at wide out instead of Lee Evans). My only concern is that they said they'll scrap the scheme when Boldin comes back. I would still mix it up a ton and confuse defenses in the PO. Deception is a very potent tactic.

All I'm seeing, when Boldin is back, Joe will have more option to throw too and he has more than 1 go-to-guy which is pretty nice for 3rd down conversion and redzone targets....

Agreed. Dickson has the potential to be a beast of a tight end and has the height and speed to compliment Dennis.

That said, right now Pitta is THE MAN! He needs to be the #1 for rest of this year. American Express, don't leave home without him!!!!

Give Dickson some slack....the one catch he made today was nigh impossible, only 4 or 5 TE's in the game today could be expected to make a catch like that! Names like Witten, Gates, Gronkowski, etc etc. Pitta and Dickson are both going to be very good, but they're going to be very good at different things. Dickson will be like a speedster TE, picking apart Linebackers underneath then taking it overtop. Pitta will be more of a possession receiver with the golden hands that never fail.

He's a bit old for a 2nd year player, but I'm going to assume that he may have a lot less wear and tear on his body.

The TE coach? Come on guys, I hate Cam as much as the next guy but you gotta give credit where credit is due. That was a great package by Cam.

For all you Gronk lovers, the dude has one of the greatest QB's in football throwing to him and a very good OC that is able to use the talent at receivers he has. Sorry but Pitta or Dickson could do what Gronk does in that system. The guy is much slower than either Dickson or Pitta but is always wide open down the middle of the field. That isn't Gronk, that's NE OC using what he has to it's highest potential. Same thing goes for Jimmy G for the Saints.

Was going off the front page article.
He lined up twice as a wide receiver in two-wide sets in the first quarter and did it a few more times throughout the course of the game. Pitta optioned into the backfield on numerous occasions as well, and came out to catch passes and help in the run game.

Tight Ends Coach Wade Harman, who is the longest-tenured coach on the staff (since 1999), came up with the scheme during the week.
I agree to a certain extent, but Brady or the OC aren't the ones bulldozing over players.

So what happens when you face a real defense and they figure out your scheme? What then? Hopefully the guys can overcome that with a little talent, no?
Then it sounds like to me that you feel that the Ravens just aren't talented enough? Honestly, I don't know why I waste my time with people like you. How in the world can you defend the scheme!? Everybody in the world sees that the reason we don't have a premier offense is because of Cam. However, that is the way the Ravens wanted it. They wanted someone with a history of good rushing offense. Well, you get that in Cam. That's about all you get. The proof is in Ray Rice and LT.

After all the complaining about the Pitta and Dickson I think it was evident yesterday. Dickson is more athletic ( and still has good hands) and Pitta is not as mobile but outstanding hands. The screens to Pitta were great to see but I would have preferred Dickson to catch those. I like Pitta downfield because he's surehanded (agreed). Never the less I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS it is simply a preference. We have two outstanding TEs and it was great to see them both utilized!
