Joe Flacco Will Have An Average Career Like Tony Romo , Will Never Win A Super Bowl ,
- Sorry To Be So Low , But I See No Intensity In Flacco Like Other QBS , (Ex.Brady , Rodgers, )
Then you've obviously been missing his emphatic TD fist pump celebrations.

Honestly, are we back to using a lack of intensity/fire as legitimate gripes against Joe?

What Fly said. These guys... Do they have any concrete arguments? There's a huge hole in every argument they have against Joe.

Let's see ...

1. Cant beat Big Ben

whoops

2. Cant beat Big Ben at home

whoops

3. Cant put the team on his shoulders and win a game if we ask him to

whoops (see: both PIT games, AZ game, STL game, IND game, and arguably the SFO game where he accounted for the only TD scored that game while going 15 of 23 and a 100 QB against the NFL's #1 scoring defense. Also arguably the second game against the Browns, where he passed for 2 TDs -- our only points scored other than a couple FG -- in a 20 -14 win.)

That's 7 games -- over half of our wins this season, where Flacco put the team on his back and drove us to victory.

And this is the guy some of you people are crying about and criticising incessantly?

Just go away.

But he can't scramble! How many rush yards does he have? He takes sacks too many times. Vick doesn't do that!

or like so:

The Flacco haters don't realize that it isnt that Flacco CANT scramble, it's simply that he is too valuable as a pocket passer to waste time with that nonsense.

i don´t think that we have to defend flacco by any means. but it is just stupid to hate on a player just because you don´t like the look in his eyes or how he looks like walking off the field. flacco is a winner. he is very calm. but that makes him dangerous. he does´t seem to get nervous at any time. he stays cool. he knows what he can do and i am sure that he also knows what he cannot do!

he might not be drew breed or brady or manning or rodgers. but he took us to the playoffs the 4th time in his 4year career. that´s gotta say something. of course he isn´t perfect. he gotta learn a lot. he has a lot of upside.

but some people act like he was grossman or someone like that. we don´t need a mvp type qb in baltimore. as much as we all love those high scoring games. we need someone who can do whatever is needed to win games. and i think that flacco is doing just that: winning games for us!!!

But we do. What do you want us to say other than yes, he had bad outings those games? I think some have even called them abysmal. You don't think Brady has bad games? (yes, he does) Or Rodgers? (yes, he does). Now, has Flacco been more inconsistent this season? Yes, he has. There are also many, many factors that could be contributing to that as well. That is all that's ever been said. You can't take 3 games out of a QBs season and decide he sucks. And that is what you people do.

Then you really haven't been reading my posts. The problem is its hard for me, and I'm sure others, to put up a legitimate complaint because I spend so much time defending Flacco from people making ridiculous accusations. None of us is saying he's perfect, but I have a feeling if I were to complain about one thing (Flacco's tendency at times to lock onto one receiver and not spread the ball out, for instance) fools get on and start saying "See, you want Flacco gone too, you think the same things we do", which is false. Flacco has a lot of work to do to become an elite quarterback, but what I take issue with is people who assume that A) he's never going to get any better, and B. who want to get rid of him now after what he's shown. You don't beat the Steelers the way you do and lead a comeback against Arizona and almost lead a comeback against Seattle unless you have a lot of talent.

Flacco's problem is that, especially this season, he has been maddeningly inconsistent. A lot of that, to me, has to do with Cam Cameron's coaching and playcalling - why, because I saw what Flacco did last season, finished as the second best quarterback the last 10 weeks of the season behind Tom Brady. Between his finish last season and the great games he's had this season, it shows me the guy has the talent to succeed. The question is, do you believe that Flacco can get better with better tutoring? If yes, then you will defend him knowing that a change will help him. If you don't then you believe it's time to move on. Either view is fine. But do not call me a "Flacco-lover", I believe in my quarterback, true, because of what I have seen, not because I have some unfounded need to support my guy.

I could ask you why you don't support Flacco after seeing what he can do, both last year and this year. Why don't you support a very talented football player, would be my question. But I don't need to know. You have that right as a fan. I've made posts saying exactly what I've said for years now, so clearly you haven't been reading MY posts, as you have read others. Tell me what YOU see in Flacco that makes you want him gone, in detail, and I may listen to your argument. But kindly do not insult me because I support a quarterback and then provide no evidence as to why I shouldn't support him.

I have gathered from your posts that a lot of hit has to do with "Flacco is in his fourth year, therefore ..." which is something that always shocks me. Look at Brady's and Brees' stats from their first 4 years in the league, and Flacco has been as good or better than both at times. Look at almost any quarterback from the 80s and 90s, besides Dan Marino none of them were brilliant very early on in their careers. Joe Montana didn't throw for more than 20 TDs until his 5th year in the league, and that was the first year he had a qb rating above 90. Dan Fouts didn't have a passer rating above 90 until his 10 season, when he was 30 years old. Do you know that Troy Aikman threw for over 20 TDs in the regular season just once in his entire career? And when he first came into the league he was absolutely terrible - Cowboys fans wanted him run out of town his first season there. Brady didn't cross 30 TDs until 2007. It takes time to develop a quarterback, and good coaching, neither of which I believe has been allowed to happen.

I am willing to give Flacco one full offseason and season, hopefully without Cam and with a new qb coach, to see if he can develop further. I will continue to support him as long as he is here because he is the quarterback of the team I support, and I believe in standing behind every one of your players. You obviously are done with Flacco and want to move on, which is a legitimate opinion to have, although I think your reasons are a bit unfounded for the reasons I stated above. But do not come out and claim to say that the only people who have any logical arguments are the people who want Flacco gone, because that is just wrong.

you see, I never called your posts dumb -- but it is easy to see why others have.
Answer with something other than how I feel? We just spent the last 20 pages posting stats and information. It is you Flacco haters who present nothing but opinions rather than facts. You know why that is? Because the cold hard facts make the anti-Flacco stance look ridiculous.

We HAVE addressed pretty much every single 'point' that the anti-Flacco crowd has raised. Feel free to repeat it if we missed something.

As for "someone posts hey what about the titans jags or browns game or the game against bengals or the jets when he didnt really show up", you never asked a question.

Really. The only thing they hang their arguments on is "he will never win an SB". All I can say is, I wish I had those mysterious powers of crystal ball gazing so I could get the next lottery number. If we drop off predicting the future, then Joe Cool is a pretty bad a$$ QB. Four playoff seasons out of four, a division title, sweep division, and thump the Steelers w/Pig Ben. Short of that eventual SB he has done it all.

Never mind that, what happens to Rivers when his pro-bowl wide receivers go out with injury? Other quarterbacks make do with what they have, and the elite ones - Brady, Manning, Rodgers, Brees - seem to do it no matter who's on the field. Hey, Joe did it last year with a receiver and tight end that can't even get starting jobs on bad teams. But losing Gates for a few games causes Rivers to fold the way he has (against everyone but us, it seems)? 27 TDs, 20 picks. Rivers is great, but I think this season showed how much his receiving corps masks his inconsistencies at times.

I feel you on that. I use to always think it was silly when fams would talk trash about eli manning. Everyone has their own style. But alot of times this season it seems like we have won inspite of Joe. He reminds me of Favre in the aspest of sometime he will when one for you with the accuracy of a archor and other times its like wow i cant believe he threw that thank god webb intercepted that pass or suggs caused that fumble. I will always go to bat for my home team but if we were Vikings fans what would we say about flacco. well he is average thank god for the defense.

He has top 10 numbers over a larger sample size of 3 seasons. Maybe not looking at just this season. But we can also look at last season, where he was #2 rated passer behind Tom Brady for a span of 14 games (week 3 to the end of the season).
