A Lot Of New Ravens Fans This Week...Jets, Titans, & Raiders

9 posts in this topic

We are adding a lot of new Ravens fans this week. Fans from teams that normally hate us (Jets, Titans and Raiders) will all be pulling for a Ravens win on Sunday.

All three teams need the Ravens help to make it into the playoffs through the Wild Card. Raiders are the only ones that can still win their division.

Jets fans desperately need us to win. Love it.

I'll admit, during the 1PM games I'm going to be rooting for Tennessee really hard and at 4PM I'll be cheering for Oakland and hope the Jets loss their 1PM game to the Dolphins or even if the Jets win the Jets still miss the playoffs. For once, if the Jets miss the playoffs all the Super Bowl talk would truly back fire on Rex. I really want to see Rex succeed as a Head Coach but damn, he keeps making me hate him so much every time he opens his mouth.

Would be no bad thing to see the Jets humbled

Wouldn't mind seeing the Titans win, I like Hasselbeck, one of my favourite non-Ravens

And Oakland with their rich history and crazy fans, they add a lot to the league and we'd have some great storylines with them in the playoffs

I'm the exact same way. If the Jets get in then Sanchez could break the record for most playoffs wins by a QB in his first three seasons AND break the record for most career road playoff wins by a QB. (Also, he could tie Marino and Flacco for most combined regular season and playoff wins in a QB's first three seasons, but he'd need to win the Super Bowl to do that.)

Though honestly, I just really don't like the Jets at all.

Statistically the Jets have a 13% chance of making the playoffs. Even if we lose they still need additional help to win.

I went to the Jets board and they are in full meltdown.

I keep on wrestling who I would rather have in the playoffs. The Jets or Bengals. Its a tough one. Bengals are divisional foes and know us very well. Jets can play December type of football.

But in the end I hate the Jets and their fans that I would rather the Bengals get in.

I didn't realize just how much trouble the Jets were in because of their loss to the Giants. If they had won against the Giants, then they would have controlled their own fate.

But now not even a win by the Jets and a loss by the Bengals is enough to get them in. They also need the Titans to lose and either the Broncos or Raiders to lose. So there's a pretty good chance that we're not going to be seeing Rex Ryan in the post season this year.

Also, it's so bizarre looking at some of the clinching scenarios where teams need one of the other wild card contenders to win so it's a three way-tiebreaker that they'll win instead of a head-to-head tiebreaker that they'll lose.
