The AFC NORTH will be decided next week with the Ravens and Steelers winning today vs the browns and rams.
The Ravens will have a chance at a first round bye with a win and home field advantage through the entire playoffs with a Patriots loss. We also can sweep our division and win it for the first time since 06.

....The Patriots also beat the dolphins today and have clinched a first round bye regardless if they lose next week.

The Bengals like the Ravens almost let one slip today vs the Cardinals. This will be the most important game of season, which Ravens team will show up?

We also meet mr AJ Green for the first time.....
Let Jimmy play the bump and run style he is accustomed to and not give green the 5-10 yard cushion we have seen by our DBs. Time to get aggressive.

Just read this on Rotoworld, Yanda is not expected to play next Sunday against the Bengals. Luckily we have Gurode who can play Right Guard. Now we really need the Bye, because hopefully if we get the Bye, it's going to be long enough where we can have him back for the Divisional Round.

That's the worst Xmas gift ever.

How awesome would it be if we beat the steelers and bengals 3 times this year. Theres a chance we could play both of them in playoffs
Well for that to happen we would have to lose to the Bengals next week so I'd rather just do it to Pittsburgh.

Execution is key! Can't have Torrey, Evans, and Dickson drop passes like they've done throughout this season. I'm confident that our D will show up and rush the hell out of Dalton and stop Benson. I'm also confident they will be served a steady helping of Williams & Rice. I'm not so confident that when we throw in the ball catchable areas the Wideouts will catch it.

Jimmy Smith needs to get his head in the game and continually listen to Reed & Pollard when directed on field. I know he's a rook and needs more time to grow but he needs to stay focused and just keep pace with the man he's covering. Also, hate to see him laughing it up on the sidelines when he is getting beat all game. He needs to focus this week and if he makes a mistake he needs to be studying the aerial shots with his coaches.

Also, Doss should not be playing. He and Joe are not on the same page and La'quan seems to be a better fit, at this point.

Lets see ......our last meeting against the Bengals Dalton threw for 373 yds WITHOUT AJ Green and they wouldve won if not for a horrible reverse-able call on Jermaine Greshams TD.......We HAD Anquan and Yanda for that game, we wont this time.......we're 8-0 at home.....3-4 on the road.....this game is IN Cincy.......Cary has a concussion and might not go........Flacco has had some of his worst games against Cincy........and at the end of the day we still have Killa Cam as our O.C.

Right now I'm more concerned about us beating the Bengals for the 2nd time given the performance of our receiving corps vs the Browns. Not to mention our secondary didn't do too well with injuries. Ugh.

Not to mention Flacco sucks against the Bengals. You left that one out

So the Ravens win then...ha. It's all in our favor. If we're going to win the super bowl, this our coming out party.

In other words, this team's back is against the wall. All that considered, I think we have what it takes to come out of there on top. We just need to flip the switch.

Oh crap. What I meant was we have to lose to them for them to get in so it would be impossible for us to beat them 3 times.

Or, how about how awesome would it be if we beat the Bengals and kill their playoff chances by knocking them out of the playoffs.

Rather do that and then beat the Steelers a third time after we beat Tebow and ruin Skip Bayless's dream

I'm going to this game, anyone else?

Yanda being out really sucks, bengals d line is already good enough without us having injuries. Ed reed needs to reacquaint himself with Dalton. Actually, he needs to reacquaint himself with the football, lol. If pagano dials up the right game plan to confuse Dalton then we should be good. He played good against us last time despite the 3 tos. Hopefully our dbs try to avoid embarrassment again. Flacco and the receivers make some plays please, the bengals secondary is the point of attack for there d. Don't expect rice to break a 50 yrd run this time around. Give some help to smith over the top on green, greshm is a solid te that is more of a receiver really. Suggs, now would be the time to have one of those games you have, last time (besides the final 3 plays) Dalton had Tom Brady time to throw, that can't happen again.
I know people tired of me saying this but more Cover 2 needs to be implemented. More man Cover 2 should do the trick with occasionally throwing it the Cover 1.

Flacco did pretty aight last time versus the Bengals. Anyway, I feel Pagano will make the correct adjustments against Dalton this time. Of course Dalton is a good QB, especially for a rookie so that has to be taken into account. Dalton numbers won't look so good this time around but the run D has to lock up Benson to kill the PA though.

We more than likely will lose against the bengals. Look people.. we play horrible on the road. The facts are there and the stats are there. We have anquan out, yanda out. I'm just tired of being hopeful on the road. Jimmy smith is going to get torched again im sure. History doesn't lie this year. Cam cameron does not fix any problems on this offense. We will continue to make mistakea on the road. Im sure people are going to be mad after reading this but its true. Please ravens prove me wrong.

Keep a safety over the top for most of the night with Jimmy playing press coverage, that should do the trick. Let Jimmy do what he do but with safety help a lot of times.

that wil leave Gresham open 1 on 1 down the seams ( Ray ray cant check him )......i dunno bruh, my heart wants the ravens to win my brain says this matchup favors Cincy..........i actually wanted the NYJ to make it to the playoffs, not the Bengals

I think that's going to be more about Pags and the D-line getting pressure on Dalton. Green can be as open as he wants, but if Dalton can't get the ball to him (or anyone) it doesn't matter.

Jimmy can cover AJ, at least he has the size and speed to stay with thim. That was what we drafted him for. They matched up last season in college and Jimmy shut him down.

Well, it is a chess match out there. We could have the other safety at times ( mostly Ed ) playing a sort of hybrid Cover 1 on one side with a Cover 2 look on Green side. Of Course that will make our D sort of vanilla and obvious with us being more suspect to the run but Mattison put together some great games with the D doing that.

Just here to wish all you Ravens fans out there a Merry Christmas and for a great game this coming Sunday. It's a big one coming up for you all but it's even bigger for my Bengals since if the Bengals win, they get into the playoffs. I definitely want the Bengals to win but a part of me thinks that if the Ravens win, at least the Steelers won't win the division and a first round bye. So at least there's a booby prize, lol.

I don't follow the Ravens except for wins and loses and was wondering who will be out for this upcoming game. The Bengals should be going full strength except for Leon Hall and Jordon Shipely both being out. Shipely went down at the beginning of the season and Halls been out for a while now too.

I'm rambling on, sorry about that.

Hm... Just saw this article about how Bengals players are trying to get fans to come out to the game on Sunday. In the article it talked how there was only 41,273 fans that showed up to the Arizona game. It was more than one-third empty. It's crazy how they have a shot at getting into the playoffs but can not get fans to show up.

Anyone think there will be plenty of Ravens fans buying up tickets to try to get as many Ravens fans in the stadium as possible?

Yep , that's what ESPN says too :

http://sports.espn.go.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/50854/nfl-playoff-scenarios

Cincinnati clinches a wild card spot:

1) CIN win or tie

2) NYJ loss or tie + OAK loss or tie

3) NYJ loss or tie + DEN loss or tie
This is different than what was posted on ESPN earlier today , so it looks like they're just as confused as everyone else.

Cincy will be playing to win , since both OAK and DEN games are late games too , so they can't clinch by the time they play the Ravens.
