Ravens @ Bengals

323 posts in this topic

The AFC NORTH will be decided next week with the Ravens and Steelers winning today vs the browns and rams.
The Ravens will have a chance at a first round bye with a win and home field advantage through the entire playoffs with a Patriots loss. We also can sweep our division and win it for the first time since 06.

....The Patriots also beat the dolphins today and have clinched a first round bye regardless if they lose next week.

The Bengals like the Ravens almost let one slip today vs the Cardinals. This will be the most important game of season, which Ravens team will show up?

We also meet mr AJ Green for the first time.....

Ok... all I have to say is this, Ravens better come out and play hard. Chuck better have the greatest defensive game plan since Week 1 where the Defense ran all over the Steelers offense. Cam, you better call a good game. Cam, if Ravens find themselves up... keep the pedal to the floor and don't stop!

Bengals have a shot at the post-season if they win and we lose the division. Patriots play the Bills who put up 40 points against the Broncos, and with the way the Bills played today they have a good shot against the Patriots to maybe win. The way Pittsburgh kept the Rams in the game for the most part until the end of the game, and seeing what Seneca did to us, I say there is a good shot both Steelers and Patriots could lose next week ultimately giving the Ravens the # 1 Seed and the AFC North.

So let's go Ravens, Browns and Bills!

Bills also beat Pats earlier this year. And Browns always make it close vs the steelers. Plus its in cleveland. I think its very possible that the pats and steelers could lose next week, As long as we handle our business we'll be good. I believe Pats will be one and day in playoffs anyway so even if we dont get # 1 seed we probably wont ahve to travel to NE

I'm not at all confident about this game. I think we will probably see the same underwhelming offense that we've seen all season long save for the Pittsburgh games. The front seven of the defense absolutely has to get Dalton on the ground. They can't do another San Diego no show.

I just don't feel good about this matchup when the Bengals is so desperate to win to get into the playoff and we're on the other hand although need to win for first round bye not so much desperate like the Bengals. However, we need to play a full 60min game regardless. Our defense need to come up with new plans for this cuz they know us so well.

Jimmy Smith looks so lost regardless; it's just too late for him to really get a grib of in game experience.

Cary William is hurt so we have to use Jimmy but the Bengals will attack him relentlessly.

David Reed looks great but injured and it looked like ACL, and we have no good KR.

Our plan to win this ball game is to quick start with a score, feed RR again, use no hurddle and spread out offense, and put Tandon Doss in the slot. The Bengals will play zone defense with 4 man rush cuz they know Joe got shutdown by the SD zone defense; to beat it, use Evans and Torrey to top off the defense.

How is it too late for Jimmy to gain experience?

If we get a lead we cannot sit on it on offense. The Bengals came back against us in the fourth quarter last time at M&T, and the Browns just did it too. Those drops by Dickson didn't help today either.

Kinda worried to see how our Boldin-less offense will do against the Bengals. But at same time, Browns can pull a victory at home vs. Steelers, and I dont know if Big Ben will play that game, so Browns vs. Charlie Batch could be good.

LaQuan Williams can definitively be our KR. So I think we are fine.

Going to be dogfight. May the best team on that day win. I hope it's the Ravens, because championship teams win these types of games.

It won't be the Ravens then, lol. I don't have a good feeling about this game at all. There's only so much Ray Rice can do to lead us to a win. I think Flacco has another mediocre day

We need to go back to running and play actioning the ball. I dont kno why we dont play fake more often. Flacco is way better off play fakes anyway

Obviously from the Browns game, he was just tentative about beating deep, leaving the guy converting third down underneath. He wasn't being physcial with opposing reciever like he's used to. The Bengals is the last game of the season for him to actually experience ingame experience.

There is no second chance in playoff; how much do you think he will change in like 1 game? The team will attack him like freebies....

So who gets to cover AJ Green? Lardarius Webb or Jimmy Smith?
[/quote]
no doubt Webb; Jimmy will get torched....

Starting today the Ravens HAVE to win every single game. There will be no more bailouts or upsets to help them out. The Bengals game is an absolute MUST WIN if we want a home playoff game and a bye to rest our hurt players. Then once in the playoffs, every game could be their last. The Ravens need to start playing to their potential because when they do they are unstoppable. Praying for speedy recoveries to our injured, but the next man has to step up and play solid

Here's to the Ravens getting it done in Cinncy and the rest of the way to the SB!

If we lose home field, then most likely no Super Bowl for us because we are dreadful on the road this year. But on the bright side, this is only like half a road game because the Bengals fans can't sell out anything, not even when its their biggest game of the year.

It's not a definite, and it's up to our players to wake up and playing smart football as well as our coaching staffs with better gameplans....

Just hope we don't let Andy Dalton start marching down the field like he's Tom Brady again. On the bright side, he had his worst game of the year against us the first time.

I wonder if the Bengals will have another blackout? So far they have had six this season...

Ravens play poorly on the road so I might take the chance to turn this into a home game by making the trip. Perfect timing since it's winter break as well..

Not good. This team is playing the worst in NFL now. Poor coaching, bad draft picks, & our elite players playing average at best.

On the bright side Dalton is still a rookie QB! Can he handle this tyoe of pressure? Idk. Were gonna find out though. I promise you all Ray Lewis Ed Reed and Sizzle will put this game in there hands and we will come out 12-4 with a first round bye.
The only thing, ONLY thing that concerns me in Marshall Yandas health. Fortuantly we have Gurode for depth.
