Straight Cash Homie: Willl Randy Moss Come To Baltimore For The Playoff Run?

Carter left after 02, though, and after that, it was all down hill (of course he did have some guys named Andrew Walker and Aaron Brooks throwing to him in Oakland) until New England. The shocking thing is Randy is still only 34. We have a great locker room, but I just don't know if he'd respect a guy like Flacco. And again, nobody knows if he's in game shape or how long it would take to get him up to speed.

Oh ya, his Oakland years were awful theres no denying that. Theres no real point to sign Moss, ya it would be sweet to see him run a 9 route for a 50 yard TD on a pass Flacco just airs it out on, but lets be real. Moss isn't going to play to be a 3 WR, Evans will be pissed being demoted to 4th and the whole thing will unravel when Moss doesn't get the ball when he has someone beat.

Exactly. If this was Randy 4-5 years ago, no question, but at this point, without knowing what kind of shape or frame of mind he's in I don't think his abilities outweigh the distractions he could bring to this team.

We need someone to catch the tough balls across the middle! Not more deep threats.

Let's put it this way. TO>Moss

People are turning down the 2nd best WR (1st in my personal opinion) of All-Time?! It's not like we're talking about T.Slow or the Housh'meh'zadahs of the world. No, we're talking about RANDY MOSS! Get it together people!

Ozzie make the call!

I'm buying a Moss jersey day one!

T. Slow? Have you even watched the man play? T.O. has never been slow, and he was clearly the better WR of the two last year

That's what drives me crazy the most. People think you just sign the talent, he plays (like he has prior years no doubt) and everything is chocolate-dipped cake pops. But your essentially telling your other guys that they aren't good enough. Your bringing a whole new dynamic into the lockeroom. Plus he has to learn the playbook and terminology of the offense. Its a hell of process to undertake right before you head into the post season.

It can do more damage than good.
Exactly, T.O. still had around 1000 yards in like 13 games last year.

Yea we should sign MR. I only run half my routes and only try when i know the ball is coming in my direction MOSS. Jerry Rice said he is/was the best talented reciever ever to play the game but is too lazy to be great. He is the last guy I would want our young WR corp to learn from. I would take mason and his comeback route in a hearbeat before Moss.

When it comes to winning a Super Bowl, you just have to ask: is he better than the guy he's replacing? The goal is to win a Super Bowl, not develop young talent. Leave that for the Browns and the Bills.

I think he, Bernard Berrian and Terrell Owens are all better than La'Quan Williams at this moment.

well, Rice was half right. Moss is the most talented WR to ever play the game.

I actually think Megatron is more talented. Moss was definitely faster in his prime but in terms of hands, body control and leaping ability, Johnson is right there with him. Plus, he's bigger and stronger.

Yeah, I'd actually agree, was just going with what Rice said. Megatron is also better after the catch and much more physical

Plus guys, Johnson has put up excellent numbers (pro bowl worthy numbers) with scrubs at Qb, excluding Stafford when healthy. Not to mention his undying willpower to be great and hard work he puts forth. In my mind, Moss could've/would've been the best EVER had he just put up 100% effort into his craft every single play like Johnson does, but nope, he only gave 50%. Heck, call me crazy, but I'd take a hard worker like Welker over a whiny baby, locker room cancer like Moss any day.

He hasn't played all year, and when he played last year for the vikings and titans, he was virtually non-existent. So no. He would be a worse signing than Mason imo.

Both of those teams were losing teams. He burned Revis while he was on the Vikings. But I don't see Moss being able to hold his tongue through Flacco's many... ummm, misses, or the many throws he doesn't make at all.

If you're going to bring in someone at this short notice, this late in who can help right away then if anything it would be Mason who already knows the system, knows Flacco and the trust is there. But I don't think Mason is the Mason he was. Just like Moss hasn't really been "Moss" since 2007-2008.

The only way I would bring someone from the outside in right now is if it was someone with the skills -and- temperament of a Larry Fitzgerald. I've seen people say "how could it hurt"? We have one of the strongest locker rooms in the NFL. You don't just tamper with that for no good reason Ask the Eagles how just buying talent has worked for them.

what? How do you set the records Moss set, and put up better career numbers than any reciever to ever play the game (other than Rice, who played a lot longer) by only giving 50% effort? Moss is already arguably the best WR to ever play, at worst he is in the top 2-3.
After all these years, he still gets no respect from fans. But any of his teammates will go on the record saying what a great teammate he was.

what if Q isn't ready in 2 weeks? And are you serious about this "WR depth"? You cant be. I know Laquan made some catches, but hes an undrafted rookie who was a special teamer primarily at MD and Im not saying hes no good. The scary thing is we're two weeks from going into the playoffs with him having more catches than the next two guys on the depth chart: Doss and Reed.

well we dont live in "If World"
