Straight Cash Homie: Willl Randy Moss Come To Baltimore For The Playoff Run?

87 posts in this topic

I heard on 105.7 The Fan's " The Bob and Rob Show" that there is "mutual interest" between the Ravens and the future hall of famer. I think it'd be a good signing as he'd be an exceptional red zone target and he still is a big play threat that teams must account for. Imagine playaction to Rice with Flacco throwing a jump to Moss in the playoffs! What are chances of this? Maybe they could IR Cundiff and make this happen?

He hasn't played all year, and when he played last year for the vikings and titans, he was virtually non-existent. So no. He would be a worse signing than Mason imo.

"straight cash homie"? what's the deal with that?
He also burned Revis for a 70 yard TD last year. Plus he had two garbage QBs in Min (a 60 year old Favre) and TEN (an elderly looking, frail Kerry Collins).

I don't really like the idea of bringing him in, but I do like the idea of having a receiver who could win a jump ball in the end-zone.

OK but still, he hasnt played all year, or even practiced. He wouldnt be active for this week's game. And there's no telling how he would be for next week's game.

It would be awesome but we would have to get him accustomed to our system quickly. We could just tell him to run deep. Torry,Evans, and Moss oh my the speed!
I remember reading a report back in Oct that said he's still in football shape just in case. And heck, he's a vet, I'm sure they could make a package of plays for him. Just go deep and Joe's gonna throw it, lol.

Ha, not happening....not even a remote chance (in my opinion)!
I agree. It doesn't make any sense signing Moss when Boldin will just miss two weeks, and there's a chance we might even have a bye week to start the playoffs. I'm sure we'll see some players step up. Just sad to see Boldin not getting 1,000 yards again.

The fan created the rumor. Their is zero source information for this.

There is a 0% chance Moss makes the team. Besides the fact he's been out of football for the whole year. Why would the Ravens want a media circus right as we are entering the playoffs?

Why rock the boat?

If he's in good shape, he's a better option than Doss or Reed... so why not? He's not T.O., not by a longshot.

Yea I wouldn't want him to rot his career away with an idiotic OC. Let's get Norv here, then Moss would fit in nicely in my opinion.

He might be in shape but he won't be football ready shape. That would take two weeks by itself. Plus he would have to learn the playbook and the terminology of the offense. So I don't see him as a better option than Reed or Doss.

We already have a guy that can run a fly route.

I know people want us to add a WR. But it won't happen. Boldin is expected back in 2 weeks.

Straight Diss Homie: When he lines up at WR for us in the playoffs, he jogs when the ball is not going to him. In short, we don't need him.

Exactly. That's essentially all Moss was doing last season, which is why two teams got rid of them and the third barely had him on the field. I'd rather see the young WRs worked in and/or more focus put on getting Evans, Torrey and the TEs passes.

I dunno, I would feel more comfortable bringing in HOF Moss because this time of year isn''t when you want to be gettinf guys feet wet. Too much is on the line.
