How many times does a player cut by a team come back to bury that team? Jared Gaither and Antwan Barnes looked pretty good the other night against us. Maybe Shane Graham will kick the game winning field goal to beat the Bungles. I hope Billy Cundiff gets well too in time for the playoffs but this no time for big egos to be making decisions on letting him play if he's hurting. I think it was a mistake for Big Ben to play the other night. He didn't help his team win; he hurt it by playing hurt. As Trent Dilfer said before the game, playing when hurt isn't heroic; playing well while hurt is heroic. I'm sure Trent did it at times. Besides, it would be really nice to have a kicker who could kick a 50+ yarder when we need it. A great tean doesn't need a field goal kicker once they get to the red zone. A great team needs a placekicker who is capable of consistently kicking a 50 yarder when a drive stalls.
