Or he can use his rights and say whatever he wants. People are blowing this out of proportion. It's not like that comment made us lose. Our coaches lost us that game. So this makes no sense. Plus he was asked a question and he answered it. People need to get off these players back, they can say what they want when they want.

Also, went on the Steelers board, some fans are actually whether or not Ben is a elite or even good QB.

Agreed. The statement was a crop of a longer conversation. Fans are too sensitive.

using his rights is not the issue here!

the point is that silence is golden! imo..let your gameplay speak for itself if not...when you do talk and draw attention to yourself and you put that media bulls-eye on your chest (especially as a QB)...your gameplay needs to back up what you are saying.

The other side of that coin is if the ravens blow out the chargers then you get no media coverage still. Flacco's comments got one article on one sports website and only had comments from ravens and steelers fans. The ravens being blow out by the chargers didnt get any media coverage.

They can put Joe or a Raven on the shame report every single week from now until we hoist the Lombardi for all I care. Then they'll just look like idiots anyway.

Are people realy getting offended over a comedy piece?

If it was one of the NFL Network analysts then I'd understand the thread

The Shame Report is comedy. And pretty funny too in my opinion

I do think Flacco would benefit by taking a few pages from Eli Manning. That guy got hounded every day for 4 years, got called terrible things, and just did his "awe shucks" routine and smiled. Even when Tiki called him out he said nothing - then won a Superbowl.

My favorite part about the Giants winning the super bowl (besides them beating the Patriots) was the fact that Tiki Barber wasn't on that team. lol. One of the more overrated backs, but most people eventually came around to see him for what he was, a fumble machine choke artist.

If you were a Steelers fan and saw Charlie Batch out there in a must-win game, you would have flipped. They made the right decision playing Ben, I think. Hindsight's 20/20, but I'd go with Ben in that situation a 100% of the time.
[/quote]
Absolutely agree. However, Tomlin should be on the shame report for keeping Ben in the game after it was clearly over. Could have ended incredibly badly for the steelers. Especially with them having a very short week this week.

Joe Flacco is an embarrassment to our team and himself. His goof-ball antics remind me of Jerry Lewis. How this guy is a starting QB in the league is unbelievable. The pass he completed to himself will go down as one of the funniest plays in football history.

Again, he's not an elite QB or anything, but its the way you go about posting your feelings. You seem angry, disgruntled and partly uninformed. For that, I say Happy Holidays and congrats!!!

Why are you still here?

You said he was going to get killed by the Steelers this year. He beat em twice. Where were you then? Too busy choking on crow to come back? But after he has an off week you come back and talk smack. What kind of fan are you? He is definitely a starting quarterback in this league. Honestly, I'm starting to think you're just trolling to annoy people.

And Brett Favre threw a pass to himself too, but he's got rings, all pro titles, pro bowls, etc... It's kinda dumb to even bring it up dude.

Oh, I'm with you there. Your job as a coach is to make the decisions that help your team. If players could make all those choices themselves, you wouldn't NEED coaches. I strongly believe that if the game's over, you pull your essential players 100% of the time.

Moreover, I actually think it was clear at LEAST by the second half that Ben was hindering a lot more than he helped. If you don't trust Charlie Batch or Dennis Dixon to play better than that, why are they on your roster?

Don't bother with wizard. He came over to the Flacco Side after Pittsburgh, I think, then he promptly flip-flopped after Seattle. He's even worse than a troll.

lol You are hysterical. Really. Actually, that same week (or maybe the week after) Painter threw one to himself and then thought he could throw it again. So, yeah, at least Joe knew he couldn't throw a 2nd forward pass.

Every year gentle ben complains about this or that hurts, every week, wah , wah, wah. Joe has played every game, taking monster hits while hanging in the pocket and goes to the playoffs every year. Do you ever hear him whine about injuries? So who is really the tough guy??? If you think that Joe has played 4 years in the NFL at the toughest position without getting injured you don't know football. He just doen't whine about it. He sucks it up and plays, every game, every year. No excuses. That by definition is tough. Ben is soft. He always gets hurt and lets everybody know about it. Laughable.

Watching the Browns game....our secondary is trash, Killa Cam desided to let Flacco throw the ball more AGAIN.....when will this team learn. Also, dont think we can win alot of playoff games with 20 points.

Running game was working great why stop???

No, actually he didn't. What he did was worse. He made some stupid bet with one of his middle school friends. He said that the Ravens would lose to the Steelers and if they didn't that he would write an article praising Flacco. Again, in all my years as a Ravens fan, I've never heard of a fan hoping the Ravens lost to the Steelers for any reason.

Because that's what Cam does. He thinks Joe Flacco is Dan Fouts and Torrey Smith is the new Charlie Joiner, and he's trying to prove it.

Watch out the Moderators close threads that are negative about Joe Flacco. 2 passes to wide receivers he should be on the shame report again this week.

What WRs do you want him to pass to? Torrey had 2 drops. Evans was a no show and when he was targeted he didn't make an effort to make a play on the ball. Not a WR I know, but Dickson had 2 drops as well. Face it. We missed Boldin badly. These youngsters have done well but I don't think they are play off ready. We'd better reconsider signing Mason. He isn't a deep threat but he is one of the best route runners around and at least he'll go up and make a play on the ball.
