But the ravens don't...oh,wait, at half-time of the charger debacle, harbaugh blamed the refs....classy and the reason why his players and fans always blame the refs for every raven loss and every steeler win
Well, considering Harbaugh said after the game that the Chargers outplayed the Ravens and that their offense was too great for the Ravens defense, your points simply make no sense.

I understand that you are a steelers homer who has to insult the Ravens every time and defend your team, but you don't have to make up lies because your fanbase is already good with that.

Actually, Harbaugh did complain at halftime that the refs were not calling holding on the Chargers....its not a lie. And i haven't defended Harrison, even in here, i have commented several times that he has to change his style of play rather than blame the refs. Like every fan, I hate when questionable calls go against my team...but teams that win consistently know they have to overcome that because it IS going to happen to every team. I would not want my coach complaining about the refs at halftime, that feeds fan bases but it doesn't help the players get the right mindset.

Actually, every coach complain about the Refs at one point or another. It is basically an opportunity to get the refs to make calls for your teams.

I mean Hue jackson called out the Refs this year for making horrible personal fouls on his team that were questionable.

Bill Cowher once famously ran after a ref and put his play card sheet into the ref's pocket while yelling at him.

Mike Dikta, Buddy Ryan. etc. always used to yell at or argue with a ref.

That is how it goes in the NFL. If you can get an advantage by forcing the ref to pay more attention to what you want him to look at, then you do it.

I have no problems with that. If you think that mean that the Ravens fanbase is paranoid about refs due to the head coach and players, then so be it. You can have that opinion

Actually, you make a good point, there are times when a coach can lift his players by demonstrating that he will stand up for them....I don't personally think telling a halftime reporter is the way to get that done.

Jim did it on Monday night as well. Jim wanted a flag during a first half FG for "leaping". He made sure he pointed it out to the Refs. Then later in the game. The infraction was called (even though it wasn't much of an infraction).

Hey Ben, the limp's getting old! Bet it's a fake! He also gained weight. I hate the Pittsburgh Steelers. Guys like x-Steeler Joey Porter, Jeff Reed, James Harrison, Rashard Mendenhall, and Ben Roethlisberger just sometimes seem like thugs and idiots. Plus they wine when they lose... They beat us a bunch of times, so many reasons to hate! How is it a conspiracy anyway? If anything it was a gift to decide what to do with Big Ben.

I think you got provoked by the thread title but didn't read the article.
It has nothing to do with the loss

The Niners won and even their fans said the same

The lights went out during a game at the New Meadowlands too, but it failed to get the Jets/Giants an even newer stadium.

Obviously San Fran thought they'd have better luck.

Santa Clara has already ponied up a lot for the new stadium. They're just waiting on $150 mil from the NFL

The media brought up this point too
As did many of the niners fans on their message board

Maybe the thread title here will get a lot of reaction
But this is more to do with the leaders in California and nothing to do with Pittsburgh players
nothing wrong with the thread title

here's what Clark said about the power outage again:

The Pittsburgh Steelers safety told the San Francisco Chronicle that he believed Monday night's double power outage was planned by civic leaders or team officials to highlight the inadequacy of the 51-year-old stadium. Earlier this week, Santa Clara's city council endorsed a deal to approve funds for a new stadium, provided the NFL contributes at least $150 million.
"I just feel like San Francisco took a big stage to show the NFL and to show the state of California that they needed a new stadium," said Clark, who is also probably a big fan of those moon landing hoax specials on the Discovery Channel. "I think it was a very strategic move and Candlestick may be no more very soon."
Whether or not it would come down in a controlled demolition, Clark didn't say.

nothing wrong with the thread title...again. lol! Clark said that he believed the outage was "planned" by civic leaders OR... "team officials." that is clear! lol!

What a crock. The last thing they would want to do is to jeopardize the safety of everyone at the stadium.

Exactly, particularly in this world we live in where anything unusual at a public gathering is an immediate cause for concern.

If those blackouts were indeed a conspiracy like Ryan Clark believes, then those involved in said "conspiracy" would be facing serious legal consequences. There'd be no amusing anecdotes for them to tell in 20 years in an NFL Films documentary because the ramifications are much larger than any punishment the NFL could dole out.
