Browns @ Ravens On Christmas Eve

143 posts in this topic

Just remember that the Rams have beaten the Saints and the Dolphins have won 5 out of 7 games. They just played in Buffalo last week, so the cold weather in New England be as much of a shock. I'd give each of them much more than a puncher's chance to win this weekend.

But first and foremost, it's gotta come down to the Ravens taking care of business.

An AFC North title and a first-round bye on Christmas Eve would be a pretty sweet Christmas present.

i like the sound of that!

the Ravens need to just go out there and set the tone of the game early on both sides of the ball!

Not that I am thinking past the Browns, but this should be a win at home. I hope that we do not sustain anymore crucial injuries during this contest.

Most of our losses result that our players were pushing themselves too much and overdoing things. Since they practice so hard, they should come out there and have some fun with emphasis of playing fundamental football: tackling, blocking, route running, and covering technique.

PS: Defense and offense should/must from now on stay with basic fundamental football.

this is the operative wording because this has been a craaaaaaazy week of football:

Ravens lose to the chargers
colts get their 1st win over the titans
packers lose their 1st game to the chiefs
steelers fall to the 49ers after 2 blackouts
texans just loss to the colts last night

NOTHING is a guarantee......even at home for the Ravens

Does Seneca Wallace give anyone else the heebie jeebies for this game? We havent faired well against mobile QBs in the past strictly because we get hesitant to blitz, and the Joe Thomas is Suggs equal.

It'll be up to the offense to take advantage of their opportunities early. I'm worried Wallace could make a few plays too and if the game is close, it could give the Browns momentum. The offense simply needs to find a way to get the ball into the end zone early on.

My biggest concern from this point forward is the coaching. Great coaches adjust their coaching style and play to the strength of the personnel they have instead of expecting the players to adjust to their style. They adjust their game plans to take advantage of the available players' strengths instead of saying its my way or the highway. We'll see how much they still believe in David Reed by seeing if he is back there at the start of the game running back KOs. David has shown that he can be a gamebreaker in more than one way. His play could influence the outcome of the game one way or another. Hopefully, we'll be ready for Seneca Wallace. The Browns might have beaten Pittsburgh if they had left him in the game after Colt McCoy was injured. It was Seneca's pass that set up the Browns at the 5 yard line. McCoy came back in and promptly threw a pick to end it. If we can contain Wallace, stop Hillis, contain Cribs and limit Little's touches, we should be OK. If we walk into the stadium thinking we are going to trounce the Browns, the result could be like Super Bowl 3. Those two teams didn't belong on the same field together on paper but they whipped a pretty decent Baltimore team 16 - 7. Its time for all of the players and coaches alike to show us what they can do instead of telling us what they can do. Merry Christmas to all and enjoy the Ravens victory!!!

Nice... I am hoping to give myself a Christmas present and buy Playoff tickets but of course the Ravens need to lock up the 2 seed so I know we'll have a home game. I am taking the last pay check I got and going to save it to buy playoff tickets but again it all is on the Ravens. I'm more worried about the Bengals next week, if the Bengals beat Arizona the Bengals will be going all out in an attempt to make the playoffs. So tomorrow and next week will be interesting.

Kinda wished Mccoy was playing over Wallace. I feel like Wallace can be a much better QB judging from watching him move down the field against Pit and staying competitive against the cardinals

We dont need NE to lose all we gotta do is win and pit lose and we get #1 back...just seen it on nfl network
NE only has 3 losses. We have 4. We need NE to lose to get the #1 Seed.

We don't need them to lose to get the #2 or to take the Division.

I'm sure we'll beat them pretty good, however, Seneca Wallace is a lot better than Colt Mccoy in my opinion. But, I almost get the feeling the Browns want to lose to position themselves better in the draft. This game will mean a lot more if San Fran can pull out the win tonight.
Wallace is significantly better and McCoy would not be playing without his UT pedigree and concomitant overrating. No team or warrior goes into battle assuming the opponent wants to lose. We ought to prepare to win because we want to more and because we have prepared better. I was born in Baltimore and wish we stop wishful thinking. We will beat the Browns at home with Wallace at the helm because we need home field position and a bye for the playoffs. If we win, Miami is 5-2 lately and beat Buffalo who has beaten the Patriots once already. Let's take care of business. Let's go Ravens! Let's go Ray Rice! Let's go Joe Flacco!!!

Well, don't believe what you saw/read. When they said #1, they meant we clinch the division, not conference!

"In three games against the Ravens, Wallace has completed 20 of 27 passes (74.1 percent) for one touchdown and no interceptions for a 99.0 rating." per ESPN. I wish Colt was playing too.

NFL Live noted yesterday that the Ravens have the best record on Christmas Eve/Day. They're the only undefeated team in the NFL (3-0).
