The Positives

42 posts in this topic

When 49ers win tomorrow an we win out capturing the division and the #1 seed because Miami beats their rival NE. Then we roll to a perfect 10-0 home record into the SB where our Defense looks to avoid a let down to a high powered Green Bay or Saints team.

it will be sweet~

We're predicting positives now? Tonight was really bad....
I was being sarcastic, but hopeful. But like I've been writing in so many other threads (i'm losing track, you know how it is after a loss), to play this flat and pathetic in such a crucial game and surrender control of the division is just flat out sad. We wonder why our team gets no National Respect. I have never seen the defense so incompetent.

there's only 1 logical explanation

we blew this game
so we can play the Denver Tebow's in the playoffs
and get the coverage that they should get!

"ADJUSTMENTS" thats what this game came down to, its just that simple. That Ravens did not make ANY adjustments and the Chargers did. It was brilliant how the Chargers had TE McMichaels chip blocking Suggs all night. It was brilliant how P. Rivers so single coverage and TRUSTED his receivers to make the PLAY. Flacco DOES NOT believe in his receivers can make the play, so he dumps it off to R. Rice every single play. Thats why Rice leads the league in yards from scrimmage and our WR/TE never have any stats to speak of. Im not knocking Rice, but Flacco has to thrown the ball up like he did in the St. Louis game. JUST THROW THE BALL FLACCO!

You don't need to post this in every thread. Its very, very annoying to the point where we don't even care what you want to say.

Tyrod Taylor didnt over or underthrow Boldin and they converted a 1st down despite not doing much on 1st and 2nd down.

Couldnt put just a little more zip on that batted TD pass Joe??

I remember Arthur Jones got some nice penetration when he was in. Sam Koch had a nice punt. And of course the first touchdown. Yep - thats pretty much it I guess. Uh and the nice hit on rivers by Suggs (who yet completed the pass)

Tyrod was in the game? It must've been late when I couldn't bare to watch anymore.

That was incomplete if your're thinking of the one when Suggs took him to the ground.

Yea. They put him in. Think he got sacked. Got -1 yard on another play and picked up a first down. It was late in the game.

Maybe this game is one more nail in Cam Cameron's OC coffin? Because if we want to win the Superbowl, we need a consistent OC to run a consistent offense.

Firsthand experience, it was awful.

Put David Reed back in for kicking because watching the ultra conservative Tom Zbikowski makes us look weak at special teams. I'd rather risk those fumbles to get Flacco short field position than seeing Flacco try to march 80 yards down the field. At least David has proven himself as a threat. Now that our back is against the wall, it's time to activate him and tell him it's now or never or he's cut by the end of the season.

I hope Reed is back returning KOs from here on out. He is one of the few Ravens who had a good game yesterday.

If we made a habit of cutting every Raven who has a single terrible game , we'd be shipping out busloads today.

Actually, another positive was Torrey Smith's performance (6 catches, 77 yards, 1 TD... and pretty sure no drops)... Lee Evans also got open, but Flacco naturally underthrew him twice.

Positive? Looks like Pagano's job here is safe for a while. As long as we keep our fails to Prime Time games we shouldn't lose him.
