This hurts our SB run so much. Clearly, we suck on the road this year.

Having that home field would have been tremendously beneficial. But now Pitt will likely take advantage of this, and the regular season sweep will be for naught.

A positive, for me at least:

Tyrod Taylor. Although he only had 3 plays, he has AWARENESS, something Flacco lacks. Tyrod sensed the pressure on every play, and could actually get out of the pocket. I'm not saying to start Tyrod, but at least he did better than Joe tonight in a very important aspect of the QB position.

Let's be realistic here. We suck on the road which is where we will be once again in the playoffs. Anyone crazy enough to think by some chance this team makes the Super Bowl the Saints or Packers passing attack won't tear us apart is insane. I been feeling this way for weeks even asking friends/coworkers if given the choice would you rather go to the SB and get flat out humiliated or not at all?

ok...yes! we're in the playoffs and for that i am grateful. but, i gotta to honest.

for all of the arguing, defending and protecting of our Ravens that we fans do in here, in public, with family and friends against all of their haters in the media (skip bayless and the crew) and especially with steelers fans...these let downs of the Ravens are getting harder and harder to deal with. how can you argue in defense of what we witnessed from the Ravens on both sides of the ball tonight? imo...you can't! just my rant on this pathetic game tonight!

p.s. i still love this team but they have pissed me off tonight...BIG TIME!!

Another positive coming from this game is that Joe will shave hopefully
One can only hope. Maybe in a future game when we're down by 24 points with 10 minutes to go in the game Flacco will decide to throw down field rather constant quick passes that did not even guarantee a first down.

and I will dog Flacco because whereas he may be the best this franchise has had he is still average at best whether it is a week we win or lose. Save your stats and fantasy number crap. I've seen the deer in the headlights enough.

Wow. You read that all from 3 plays? Please report to Ownings Mill on Monday morning 8'o clock. See Eric DeCosta, Director of Personnel for your interview for the scouting team.

Everyone knew this was a possibility with the way SD was playing but none of us could have expected the defense to be handled so skillfully on every single 3rd down.

With that said Rice began the game running strong. And after Boldin caught that dart from the slot I thought wow we are using guys correctly.
As game progressed the old everybody run 10 yd comebacks then dump off to rice reared it's ugly head.

Exactly. I said it was limited, but he did sense the pressure. Flacco doesn't see it coming all game.

Do I think the team is better off with Tyrod over Flacco? No. Not at all. I'm just saying that we did see something good out of a young quarterback.

I'm just going to get off the board and call it a night as I'm sure many people will be posting like crazy. I know everyone will be mad tonight but let's just remember this... the Ravens have CLINCHED a Playoff spot. They are in the playoffs for FOUR STRAIGHT SEASONS, plenty of teams would love to be in that position, hell for some, just to be in the playoffs once!

To Quote Aaron Rodgers: "Packers Main Goal is to win the Super Bowl."

If the Packers win the Super Bowl again, will anyone be talking how they loss to KC, in the end if Ravens finish second in the AFC North but Win the Super Bowl, who cares if Pittsburgh won the Division. If we win the Super Bowl, will anyone on this board still care about the losses? Aaron Rodgers is right, and that's the thinking we should all have!

Typical loser performance. I'm not upset because this group has never proven to have a heart of a champion from the coaching staff on down to the players.

I knew they'd squander good opportunity down the drain, they always do.

Play 1: Pocket collapsed around him and gets sacked. Joe had this done to him all game long
Play 2: Tyrod eludes some people and escapes out of bounds for like a 1 yard game
Play 3: Perfect pocket. Threw a pass to Boldin

To say that Tyrod shows a lot more awareness in the pocket than Joe did is flat out stupid, especially with our 3 play sample size that didn't show us anything

There's a big difference between having championship pedigree and being a loser. This team doesn't have what it takes to win a championship.

It just baffles me at times to see the lack of creative routes, lack of crossing patterns, drags, posts. I mean we have personnel to create mismatches with TEs or Speed WRs we even have a strong possession WR that could be motioned in the slot. But none of these matter. Watch replays with 2 outside WRs running 8 yd comebacks and the inside WRs running 15 yd outs. Where every one is stacked on each other.

Early on it looked like our offense would handle their defense.... What happen

in all honesty....Tyrod shouldn't have even been put out there in that trash! put him out there when the Ravens are winning big not losing big....SMH!! if i were Tyrod i would have said...."what do you guys want me to do with this mess that you all created for 4 qrtrs?"

If Steelers win this Monday night. Taylor will get a lot of playing time as the team will be looking to rest its starters for the playoff push. If Harbs is smart the D will get 2 more weeks of rest.

We were being blown out pretty bad against Minny a few years back. But unlike tonight. We actually clawed ourselves back in to almost win.

This is up there for most reason [profanity deleted] whoopings.

The defense took all of tonight off, I don't think they even got off the plane. Our cornerbacks were on roller skates.

I'm tried of watching these types of performances. Offense looked flat and uninspired (as usual). No long ball = No passing game since Cam wants to keep things simple.. k.

The defense getting absolutely annihilated like that makes me wonder what Aaron Rodgers would do to us.

I don't care if we win out now. So pissed off.. home field playoffs denied yet again.

We never got off the beach in SD - walked around like we were on vacation and when we got slapped early on - reacted like we belong in a Southern California state of mind - all is cool - no rush or sense to get urgent - even though the game was ours to take in 1st half. Coach John H gets F for lack of atttiude required by team given this time of year; Coach Cam C gets F - let Joe just hang out be cool, it might come around; Joe Flacco gets F - looks cnfused not cool when he just hangs out (we should have put Tyron T in after 1st Quarter), that might get him to pay attention and talk to the offensive collection of vacationers so some urgency may have started to creep back into our game. You lost me (great talent - sucky attitudes) guys, all losses (except to Titians) were due to the same reasons and attitudes. signiing off - one very unhappy Raven Fan (think i will go on vacation now - maybe come back after you get your act together.

Just to clarify for the guys bashing me:

I'm not saying that Tyrod is the greatest quarterback in the world. I still think Joe is our guy. The fact is though, tonight only, Tyrod had better awareness than Joe, albeit in a small sample size. Did Tyrod get sacked? Yes, but he sensed the pressure and made the effort to get out of the pocket.

Maybe I was a little strong in my previous explanation, but Joe simply does not do well in sensing pressure. Instead of shifting around with the line collapsing, he routinely stayed still and looked for that horrible check down that we use at least twice a drive.

Again, Flacco is our QB. I just thought it was good to see a bright spot in one of our young players in one of the most important aspects of his position.

Ahh well I'm just not that mad about it. Perhaps I saw it coming, or perhaps I'm happy knowing that while the Chargers whooped up on us tonight and even if they make the playoffs, they're going to do nothing and be one and done as usual. As Ron Burgundy would say, 'Go *ahem* yourself, San Diego,'.

Not a single player on the defense stepped up. Not a single one. That's my problem. The defense looked horrible. The offense didn't have a chance.

Against teams that had total dog crap offenses....ya I wish we could play the Browns and Niners every week, we'd never lose a game.

Didn't Taylor take roughly four snaps? You're honestly making the declaration he had better awareness than Joe on a handful of snaps in garbage time?

If we're using a small sample size, I'm pretty sure Joe stepped up to avoid the rush on one of his TD passes and he used his legs on a number of other occasions too.
