Week 6 Will Make Or Break Us...

37 posts in this topic

Ladies and Gentleman, the moment of truth is coming. Week 6 will be the Make or Break game fore our season. If we lose this game, it will be very hard to bounce back. Our defense can stop the pass, we've already proved that (with the exception of the 4th quarter choke ups on defense). We can stop the run also.

But Indy's defense has also proved they can stop the pass, but a little more complacent on stopping the run. If we can keep healthy at tailback, then I can see this a manageable game. But our offense really needs to step it up and match Indy's prolific offense.

And also keep this in mind, WE HAVE YET TO PLAY THE NFC EAST! And in case you were unaware, that includes: DALLAS, WASHINGTON, THE NEW YORK GIANTS, and the PHILADELPHIA EAGLES. So, let's keep our heads high while we can so we can be prepared for the toughest games in our entire season.

i agree with you. but be honest you were not expecting a perfect season we just need to take this season for what it is a learning process. we got a new coach and a new qb and a new o line and that equals rookie mistakes.

We need to make it to the Playoff, probably Wild-card. We can't lose more than 4 games, which one doesn't matter (preferable none in division). As far as momentum, we need this Win. We live and die off streaks. 3 game losing streak would be difficult momentum to come through.

Thank you for looking forward

Ouch. That made me cringe, but anyway we do have like 2-3 easy games after the Colts game that we can rebound and gain some momentum.

Im sure theyre not as good as Pittsburgh in stopping the pass, and considering that they cant stop the run, i expect more success against Indy on offense.

Chris McAlister is a monster this year. We need Rolle back and I hope Fabian recovers because, if he doesn't, the lack of depth at CB will catch up to us against Pass-Savvy teams like Indianapolis, Dallas, and Philadelphia. But Frank Walker has been showing some good effort in Rolle's and Washington's place.
Just like last year we have two of our great CB and Safties out.
I think we have depth this year with Frank Walker and Fabian Washington (who is now unfortunately out), but CMac is still standing...

I am just glad Dawan is not permanently injured and expect that guys like Leanhard and Nakamura will just have to step up.

We have some easier games left on the schedule, but if we really want to "man up", we have to win the bbig games like away in Indy, NY, and Dallas.

I agree, let's keep things in perspective. This is a very young team, and we might experience growing pains along the way.

I'm watching the Dallas and Cincinnati game with my Dad. And the commentator came on and said "The problem with the Bengals is that they've blown fourth quarter leads." Me and my Dad looked at each other and went, "Well, that sounds familiar."

I thought I'd just share that brief moment of my life with my fellow BaltimoreRavens.com posters

I don't know if it will necessarily break our season, since we haven't beaten the Colts since 2001 I believe, but it sure could make it. I have no expectations, really. If we win, great, but I don't want us to get too down on ourselves if we lose, I just want it to be a competitive game.

Yeah, I think we need to win. We have some games that we know are going to be tough, but this year is proving to be one where you never know wo's going to come out on top, so we need to treat every game like a must win.

Exactly esp since we are ahead of the curve that most pundits had us on in the first place lets just ride the purple wave to where it will take us no matter how far!

Luckily the Colts are #31 in the league against the rush. Hopefully Bob Sanders will remain out. We should be able to run all over them, it will be a good break after going against these great defenses the past two games.

We are due for a win against the Colts and I think it will come next week. I agree with you PuRock, their D will be a little easier to move the ball on the ground and we can get back to what we do best, which also opens things up for Flacco. If we can get by the Colts it could be a huge momentum for us even though our next two games are on the road.

Well, the Dolphins did just beat the Chargers too....can't believe they weren't watching for the Ronnie Brown direct snap after they embarassed the Pats two weeks ago.

But atleast we can shut down the run, the Chargers can't , especially with Merriman out.

plus the colts can outscore us we can out score no one when it takes us nine minutes to score and we only score like once a game on offense
