I personally think Ray is going to go all out and its going to look like he is 10 yrs younger, i think in the back of his head, he thinks people are starting to over look the BEST MLB of all time.

One cannot simply play as if they were 10 years younger in the NFL. smh

I know bud it was kind of a exaggeration. I just think Lewis is going to be play better than he has this season and that is saying alot because the guy is having one of the best season he has had in a few yrs, certainly playing better than last yr and he played great last season too. If his toe is atleast 95%, Its on, predicting it now, 1 INT, alteast 2 Sack , maybe a force fumble and a whole crap load of Sacks. Also I think the D will play even Better which would be insane.

people have been saying ray was done since the 2007 debacled season. Ray got that junior seau longevity for 20yrs blood. Ray has a high level of play recongnition and is good for a zone in the middle....he has great lateral movement but he slowed down in a striaght line and can't do pass coverage like a corner back in the early 2000's. He slowed down to normal LB speed....not that corner back speed he used to have, but he is a smarter player these days.

I have to admit that when he signed his current three year deal, I thought it was going to just be one or two more years and he would retire. I'm embarrassed to admit that.

Wait, wasn't that three year deal before the 2009 season when he was a free agent? Is his contract up after this year?

It was 3 years with 4 years as options after the initial 3.

I just have a feeling that getting our general back today and the fact that it is the Pagano bowl means all our defensive guys will go out to make a statement today. If it is not motivation to be back on the field after a month with one of the greatest players to ever put on a uniform or to give a great guy like Chuck his big win (over his younger bro) than I don't know what more you could want.

When people say "he's lost a step or two" I always think "But he was always a step or two faster than everybody else." Ok, so now he's moving like "everybody else", but with 16 years of experience and knowledge to back it up. Yea, I'll take that any day.

His straight line speed is still good, its his lateral mobility thats slowed down I think. His hips aren't as loose as they once were and he cant flip and run on a dime like he used to.

eaxctly his pass deflection skills and interception skills were great for a LB. early 2000's.... Ravens in a cover two Ray could drop back to sandwhich a reciever bewteen him and ed reed so people needed pinpoint throws. Ray used tob e everywhere on the field.... and a man with that LB power is laying out dudes. reciever used to be afraid to run slants against the ravens back in da day cuz ray would light you up!

I think Ray goes all out every game. He has nothing to prove hes recognized as one of the greatest linebackers of all time and football players. He gives 110% on every play and there's few people in the league who plays with the passion he does. He definitely knows its his locker room and hes the 'guy' that everyone looks to.
[/quote]
Exactly what I was going to say. It's hard to give more than everything you have.
