God Bless Joe Flacco For This

185 posts in this topic

My favorite quote from the comments:

"the tone of this article-like many others- and the subsequent comments to follow are as if flacco stepped up onto a soapbox with a megaphone and whined, where the truth is; he was asked a question and gave a truthful answer."

In my opinion, you can harldy call what Joe said a "complaint". More like keepin' it real, and the other fans can't hang.

If Tebow gets into the Pro Bowl and Flacco doesnt, i will never ever vote again. What a Joke, ive seen 3 maybe 4 games of this kid (Tebow) and he sucks, point blank. His Kicker , his defense and the opposing team that they are playing keep them in the game. I have seen the opposing team miss chip field goals, stupid fluke play calling. Denver better be giving the Bears RB a bonus this yr for 2 really bad plays to help DENVER to win.

ITS A JOKE!!!!

Yea I find that funny too. The media is asking players about Tebow. Listen to any radio show that interviews athletes/coaches. They ask about Tebow. And a lot of players take the same stance that Joe has.
But simply put he honestly answered a question that he was asked.

I can't believe a guy who's completing less than 50 percent of his passes is even being considered for the pro bowl. Why is it stats only matter when you're trying to keep a guy out of the probowl?

I could say I agree, but Joe should not listen to the media. Don't read the papers, don't listen to the Herd, Skip B, all of them. It's a trap game.

Uh-Oh.... Joe you do not want to upset the Higher Power, if he is giving Tebow powers to pull wins out of nowhere and make defenses forget how to play defense, I can't imagine what the Higher Power would do to people who speak badly of Tebow....... if we lose to the Chargers on Sunday, we'll know why.

LOL... come on man!

I wouldn't be surprised if Tebow made it to the Pro-Bowl. He gets all the credit for Denver's wins regardless of whether he was involved or not. Why wouldn't he make it to the Pro-Bowl? Why wouldn't he be an All-Pro?

I can't stand the Overhyped One at all. The reason he acts so 'awe-shucks' like in interviews and press conferences is so he can keep his story going. Let him play against a top 10 D and we will see how good he is. Lol.... 3-16 in the first 3 quarters?? Terrible. If not for his D/McGahee, he wouldn't even be talked about right now.

Because the fan votes are only 1/3 of the final vote , with the other 2/3 provided by the players and coaches. Most players who aren't Broncos probably see this Tebow mania as an insult to the truly talented players around the league , and they'll make sure their votes cancel out the irrational votes of the fans.

Yes, I know. I was overreacting. Fan voting really doesn't matter unless you're really dedicated to voting 5,000 times a day for 30 days straight.

Hahaha .. I couldn't help but post this. "Numbers Never*Lie" on ESPN2. Their story lineup from the start of show was:

Denver or New England: Tebow vs Brady (opening storyline)

-Next
Tebow
Tebow or Newton
Best Rookie Passers (more Tebow talk)
Tim Tebow

The sad part is really that once the DC's of the NFL have time to break down this option offense and start to scheme against it and Tebow, he's going to be murdered and the media are then going to systematically tear him down.

And thankfully, quite a few fans are tired of the hyping of the Golden Overhype Machine.

He's doing a pretty dang good job against himself in the first 3 quarters, but teams just let off the gas in the last 5 minutes. I honestly think teams should start just running the ball and wasting time in the 4th quarter to negate the Overhyped One's luck. Or take advantage of his sucky play through the first 75% of the game and run the score up before then. Either way would be the way to go.

As soon as they play against a quality team, they are going to be exploded. Look at who the Tebow lead Broncos have beaten. Miami (0-6 at the time), Oakland (1st game back for Palmer after 10 months on the couch), KC (what more can you say), Jets (in the midst of their attempted implosion), San Diego on their downward spiral before they've come back up the last couple weeks, Vikings (again, what more do you say) and the Bears with Hanie. And they are just barely beating them. Average win is by, what ... 3 points?

This is the same media that thought Denver fans were being ridiculous when paying for bill-boards saying "Play Tebow". The majority of the media said he'd fail. Hell, John Fox and John Elway only played him to shut the fans up and, assuming he'd fail, allow them to bring in their QB.

Every media member saying "Meh, I was wrong, but I always liked the kid!" should be fired right now. Every. Single. One. I've always liked Tebow (Florida Fan) and all this crap is even managing to get to me. We DON'T want to hear about him 24/7 when he's on a team that, come playoff time, everyone's hoping they get. How about the media do their job and report on all of the teams, instead of an irrelevant team that's on a hot streak.

Ahh, I forgot that Tebow is the Quarterback that's looking like the best ever at his position while chasing pretty much every major passing record there is. Oh wait, he's not? It's some guy named Rodgers? Well, maybe the Media should do their job and cover him a little more.

I can understand Flacco's frustration, but it is kind of weird for him to look for the teams highlights on T.V. Honestly who cares if we don't get attention? Last I checked GB doesn't get any attention either.

Instead of ranting about stuff like this, maybe he should be taking out his aggression on the field or on Cam Cameron, who is holding him back.

I don't disagree with Flacco, but let the fans rant. It makes him seem a little petty.

He didn't rant about anything. Did you hear or read the interview? Not what the media decided he said (that's a compilation of two answers taken out of context). He wasn't taking his aggression out on anyone. In fact, it was the opposite. It was classic Joe Flacco which was 'You can't control what they say, so you just go about your business and do your job.'

Tim Tebow is NFL's verson of Kim Kardashian. It's pretty rediculous if you ask me. I mean you would think they were the team thats 13-0.
hahahaha Kim Kardashian, saw this video the other day......what is her career? Does she even do anything? Probably just runs some kinda of subpar fashion industry which gets by on name alone.

http://www.worldstarhiphop.com/videos/video.php?v=wshhx1hnH71U44bHagUm

But Tim Tebow......I don't know he's been a story ever since high school, you'd be hard pressed to find someone who hasn't heard his name at least 20 times. News stations want to give the gen. pop something they can sink their teeth into, and quite frankly the Ravens play to a relatively small fan base, thus we don't receive much attention except for our defence. But seriously you'd think Tebow had beat the packers 2 or 3 times in a row by the way they give him so much coverage.

I'd be doing exactly the same as Flacco if I were in his shoes. Tebow rides his defense to a 7-1 record and he gets all the credit for wins. When Flacco outplays him regularly all he gets to hear is "Is Joe Flacco good enough to help the Ravens Defense win a Super Bowl?". It's not surprising that he's disgusted by the rediculous bias shown by the media.

I agree, Flacco has more important things to worry about besides if people are talking about him or how hood he looks on TV.

Do you know what ranting means?

Hes complaining about Tebow getting all the media attention/credit. That is ranting.

I'm not religious myself , but people who are say that even the most deeply religious person will someday have an experience that will lead them to seriously question their faith. It would give me great pleasure if Tebow's first such experience , and then several more in quick succession , came at the hands of T-Sizzle.

Yes, I do. Apparently you don't. Here you go ...

rant - verb : to speak or declaim extravagantly or violently; talk in a wild or vehement way; rave.

Hope that helps.
