12-1 Record

Okay, we will beat the Chargers in SD and watch the Steelers lose in SF. Next week, we pound the Browns into the ground and send them whimpering back to the dog pound. Finally, we prove once and for all that we deserve the first seed by knocking the Bengals off in Cinn. Does that take the edge off of the crappy losses?

I'm pretty sure we've said that before the Jags and Seahawks games. Let's not overlook an opponent. The Chargers are a threat.

What he is saying is that this is a different season now and the bad games early have helped us get better. At this point of the year, there is no chance of overlooking an opponent. The prize is a lot more visible now. And we should win the next 3 games.

Look I can take the Tennessee loss, and I can even take the Seahawks loss but how did we lose to Jacksonville??????!!!! If anything we should be 11-2 with losses to Tennessee and Seattle, but Jacksonville??? Cam cost us that game, one TD either on defense, special teams or offense would have won us that game 14 to 12.

The real question is, why did Cam only give Rice the ball 8 times in that Jags game, and bench him in the second half, when the Chargers ran wild on the Jags? As far as I know he was neither fumbling the ball, nor was he hurt. I still have not heard an answer other than "We need to give Rice the ball more." Like I didn't already know that.

They torched the Ravens the last time we played, and if it wasn't for one of the greatest plays I've ever seen Ray Lewis make in a career full of HOF plays, Darren Sproles may have run the ball in for a TD or a first down, and they might have beaten us. Their receivers killed our cornerbacks the last time, and as good as Webb and Smith are, it's a different animal when every receiver you face is the size of a tight end and has great agility.

True, we did get torched in San Diego last game
But I've more confidence in our current defensive backs then I did with Foxworth, Washington and Walker

It most certainly would. But that is a lot of ifs right now. We still have to play those games even before we can ask that question. Right now we are all riding the good feeling of a 4 game win streak. And that feeling of invincibility is starting to be instilled in the fans again.

Repeat after me.

We believe that Flacco is up to the challenge. We believe that Suggs will continue his sack streak. We believe that Rice will have another 100 + yard game. We believe that the Ravens will win all their games in December and January!

I believe I'll get myself a cold case of Peroni for the game, too.

It pains me that we're not 12-1 at this time sitting comfortably atop of the AFC. I can take the lost to the Titans. The Titans are a decent team and they beat us convincingly at their place. But the losses to the Jaguars (who many are saying have the worse QB in the league) and Seahawks (all of the turnovers, missed kicks, and lack of running game) have me wondering how it could of been. Don't get me wrong I'm very grateful for the 10-3 record b/c we could easily be 8-5 (Steelers, Cardinals).

I'm a little uncomfortable with the position that we're in right now. The Steelers have an easier path to finish 13-3 than we do. If they can get past the 49ers, they should win out. I know that's a big if w/ Ben's injury, Harrison's suspension and other injuries. But the 49ers lost to the Cardinals doesn't help my confidence.

Getting back to my original point, those 2 losses to the Jags and Seahawks really hurt us.

/self pity

We are 10-3 and not 12-1 because we got outplayed in every single loss. I have never witnessed such a pathetic offensive display as the one we produced during the Jags game our o-line got tooled on all game.

And what are you talking about the Hawks not having a running game, did you forget about Marshawn Lynch ?

We deserved every single loss we have suffered this season.

But we've said that before. We've said, "Oh we'll learn from this," then we go and lay an egg.

Frankly, the closer we get to this game the more scared I get. The Chargers are really good in December and traveling across the country doesn't help either.

I still think we'll win, but this won't be easy unless our offense comes out guns blazing and our defense on fire.

We should be 12-1 if it wasn't for the lack of running game and fumbled returns. I kept waiting for Joe to lead us on one of his long drives to win the Jags game, but it never happened. The Seahawks just capitalized on butterfingers Reed.

Frank Walker. Good for one to two holding penalties a game. Ugh, I'd almost forgotten about him. Almost.

I was talk about the Ravens lack of running game in the losses that we've had.

"ADJUSTMENTS" thats what this game came down to, its just that simple. That Ravens did not make ANY adjustments and the Chargers did. It was brilliant how the Chargers had TE McMichaels chip blocking Suggs all night. It was brilliant how P. Rivers so single coverage and TRUSTED his receivers to make the PLAY. Flacco DOES NOT believe in his receivers can make the play, so he dumps it off to R. Rice every single play. Thats why Rice leads the league in yards from scrimmage and our WR/TE never have any stats to speak of. Im not knocking Rice, but Flacco has to thrown the ball up like he did in the St. Louis game. JUST THROW THE BALL FLACCO!
