I think that JJ may be signing elsewhere nezt yr as a free agent... the Jets will try to throw money at him that we can't match. And in comes a combo and Kruger and Kindle. A nightmare tandom in the making...

I would not be in a hurry to get rid of JJ he is the most underrated D player on the team. More importantly he is high character on and off the field My opinion, Big mistake if we let him go. There will be room for Kindel In Time

I agree with Redding being underrated as well. I guess its 6 of one half dozen of the other. Both are important this year and next as well. I was refering to replacing JJ with Kindel or Kurger next year Not enough play time from either to make that call

Just saw the interview with JJ. He said Kindle is blowin people up at practice. He just cant get on the field because of the way that everyone else is playing and the numbers. He also did mention that he expects Kindle to be a force in years to come.
I will believe it when I see it. Kindle got in late during the Indy game and didn't do anything and I highly doubt he will ever really overcome his injury.

JJ's hit on Hines Ward should be worth another contract year all by itself.

If we play Denver in the playoffs , I'd like to see him do a similar pancake on Tebow when he tries to scramble out of the pocket. That would guarantee he keeps his job.

JJ will likely be a cap casualty victim. Theres no way we can pay what he deserves for him to play 2 downs for us. It would be foolish to do so from a GM's standpoint. Especially when theres two 2 round picks in waiting at his position. Its an unfortunate reality because JJ is almost like an Adalius Thomas story, came from Alabama playing DE for us primarily as a special teamer, through hard work and grit became an everyday OLB for us when his number was called.

I love JJ, theres few guys out there I consider "true Ravens" and he's definitely one of them.

JJ is the ultimate team player but like you said he will probably be a cap casualty... our main focus needs to be Grubbs and Rice and hopefully an extension to Flacco that may give us some room... I will miss JJ and don't want him to go... but if you heard/read Rex talking about him earlier before we played the Jets this year... he may pull another stunt like he did with Bart Scott showing up at his door trying to lure him away.

It wouldnt surprise me,nor would I fault JJ for doing it as he's stated he's always liked Rex. But the Jets don't exactly need another good run defender who can't pass rush.

It took Kruger 3 years, so lets be patient.
Kruger also got jacked around from a LB to a DE and forced to gain alot of weight and now back to OLB

Well, for what its worth, the Jets run D hasn't been elite this year like it has in previous years. JJ could contribute to and improve their run D.

No it hasnt, but their pass rush has never been good from the standpoint of having guys that can produce pressure by winning 1 on 1 battles since Rex has been there. The only guy that could do that was Ellis and he's gone. What I was trying to stress is what the Jets really need is an OLB that can actually pass rush, not another one who can hold the edge and play a little bit of coverage. If Im Rex I'm looking for someone who can get after the QB without me having to constantly think up crazy zone blitzes to get pressure, even if I have an elite corner and an above average one. Its the only reason they took a chance on Maybin.

Kruger actually told me (no kidding) that he weighed the same in his first and second years. He just put on 15 lbs by being in the NFL.
