It's been 10 yrs since the Lord of the Rings movie started, it makes me feel old.
But i learned this song on piano in honor of [i]The Fellowship of the Ring.[/i]

Anyway, Clint Mansel's "Requiem for a tower" for LOTR 2 is probably the best movie theme of all time. That's why people keep re-using it. You'll recognize it from everything, including one of Ray Ray's most popular youtube videos.

It was popular before The Two Towers trailer. It's actually called Lux Aeterna, and it was used for the movie [i]Requiem for a Dream[/i] from 2000.

Very nicely played on the piano there. Wish I could play like that

And I hope that [i]The Hobbit[/i] lives up to my expectations. 3 of these kind of movies in 10 years is too few. Peter Jackson needs to get his priorities straight

It's not the same song, it's a re-work of the original from Reqiuem for a dream.

I wasn't born when Star Wars changed the world so I had hoped that LOTR would be a similar experience. It bothers me that it didn't reach the same cult status that Star Wars did after in 10 years.

While you're waiting you should check out The Lovely Bones, another Peter Jackson film

Got some terrible reviews but I thought it was excellent
