not sure if this has been posted but ESPN and AFC NORTH BLOG has said that playoff scenarios for the Ravens are win and we are in.

I know we were confident before hand that we would make it but your always one injury away from a collapse.

And the Ravens can also clinch a playoff spot with a Jets loss or a Titans loss. They'll release that and the rest of the Week 15 clinching scenarios tonight or tomorrow.

A little help this weekend would be great. Would mean we could possibly clinch home field and #2 seed with a win vs the Browns. I'd really like that Cincy game not to be a must win.

Jets play Eagles, Tennessee plays Indy, Oakland plays Detroit and Ravens play Chargers. So it's safe to say that Tennessee won't lose, and if the Eagles play the way they did on Sunday they can beat the Jets. Detroit I think can beat Oakland, but it's just that it's up to the Ravens to get the first scenario. Though from the way this looks, if the Jets, Titans, and Raiders all lose before Sunday Night, win or lose the Ravens could clinch, right?

Funny thing is for Pittsburgh to clinch a playoff spot they also need Tennessee, New York and Oakland to lose as well, but then Denver also has to lose for Pittsburgh to clinch along with a win.

Actually for Pittsburgh, they clinch a playoff spot if any of those 4 teams (Titans, Jets, Raiders, Broncos) lose, they don't all have to lose. And that's only if the Steelers lose, the Steelers also clinch a playoff spot with just a win.

Basically as it stands now, only two teams can beat out the Ravens for wild card spots, the Raiders (head to head) the Titans (head to head) and the Jets (by being one game ahead). So this week if any two of those teams lose, then the Ravens can't miss the playoffs.

Not that this should have a big impact on how the Ravens play, since they know they're going to make the playoffs barring a monumental collapse, they're just focused on controlling their own destiny.

Yeah, you completely misunderstood what I meant or I conveyed it incorrectly.  I know all about where the phrase is derived from, I was more asking as to whether it was sarcasm or a good-natured gesture.  I see you mean it as a compliment now, but you can see where the emoticon of the dude rolling around on the ground in laughter can have someone confused [img]http://content.boards.baltimoreravens.com//public/style_emoticons/default/smile.png[/img]
