Cause it shows how tough the AFC North really is. I'd rather see a team from the same division win it all compared to a team like the Patriots.

youre right i have never thought of that

I could definitely say that most of us Ravens fans were rooting for you against the Texans. And the Steelers. But all hope isn't lost yet. There really isn't a great team in the AFC this year. And all of the wild card teams right now are sub to low par. Don't count your Bengals out yet.

I really think the Ravens have a good shot of making the Super Bowl this year, they will just have to get past the Pittsburgh Steelers, that will be the big hurdle as it generally is. As for me, it's another year of watching the playoffs without my team being apart of it and finding a way to collapse. I was hoping the Steelers, Ravens and Bengals would make the playoffs this year but it's not going to happen. I just hope lame duck Marvin Lewis is canned at some point, but with Mike Brown I know that won't happen. This is what separates the Ravens & Steelers, they want to win and will do whatever it takes to win. I can't say the same thing about the Bengals, I think they want to win but just don't know how to. Starts with the way the organization is ran and the Bengals are lacking significantly in that area. I hope we can be a true threat at sometime in my lifetime as it seems as if there's some hope and it fades away. Now we all know why they can't fill up the stadium, it's things like yesterday that happen all too often and the fans are tired of being heart broke every year. Anyway, I will end my rant now and good luck in the playoffs, I will be watching.

Thanks. Hey man, just remember though, we all play in what I have to believe is the toughest division in the NFL. You separate our four teams, and I think all of us, yes even the Browns, finish at .500 or better in any other division, except maybe the NFC East. People like to look on you and the Browns (especially the Browns) as perennial doormats, but remember the Browns beat the Patriots (14-2) and the defending champion Saints in back-to-back weeks this year. We all have top 10 defenses. 3 teams have good quarterbacks, and Cleveland might get theirs next year. The Steelers are the only team to make 3 Superbowl appearances in the new millenium besides the Patriots, and it's because this division forces them to be on their toes every week. Besides, Dalton is 24, Green is 23, and they have years to grow together and be better than they are now. I have to tell you I wish you hadn't drafted Dalton and kept Palmer, because I know in the coming years the Bengals are heading up. This year is like us in 2008. We showed a lot of promise and came up short. Every year we've gotten better, and now we're being talked of as a potential Superbowl contender. In time, if Dalton and Green keep developing and your front office adds more talent around them like ours has, the Bengals will be, too.

Thanks, I hope you're right. Just need to improve some positions and get a few key guys back like Leon Hall. Hopefully they only get better from this point on. The secondary is getting exposed right now, they need to get better quickly.

If Mike Brown is willing to spend next year ( with all the cap space you guys have), you guys can fill alot of holes out there. Of course, knowing mike brown( his like peter angelos of O's), his too cheap to realize just how close bengals are to be a contender.

He better spend something otherwise he's not going to win over any fans back. The game yesterday only had about 41,202 people in attendance, there's no way the game in two weeks against the Cardinals makes 40,000. I guess if he wants that poor attendance to continue and get worse, leave things as is. At this point, he's pretty much getting forced to do something, I can tell you he doesn't like that many empty seats. I expect them to go after some good free agents, problem is will they want to come to Cincinnati? That's the issue.

I dont know, the Bengals have some serious talent, young and veteran. A couple of pieces and it will be a three way battle for the division.

I don't think Bengals fans have anything to be down about. They are a young team with alot of the pieces in place.
They have a top ranked Defense, superstar potential in Dalton and Green, Benson showing everyone that he is far from "washed up". IMO the biggest loss for the Bengals was losing J.Joseph. If they could have found a way to keep him It would be the Bengals in our rear view mirror instead of the Steelers.

Thanks for the well wishes. You guys are a good team, but I know how you feel right now. We all felt the same way when we gave the game to Pittsburgh last year. It hurts for a while after a big loss, so I can empathize.

Beating PItts has to do with where the game is played. I would MUCH rather see it played in Balt and likewise our chances of winning increase considerably. ;)

Well, I didn't expect this game to have this much at stake when I posted this thread awhile back. Huge game tomorrow and I can't wait, it should be a great game! I guess all it will come down to is who wants it more, as both teams have a lot at stake. I know I won't be able to sleep tonight, this game has me all jacked up. Considering the expectations before the season started, I'm very happy to even be in this position to at least have a chance to get into the playoffs. We'll see what happens, good luck to your team tomorrow. May the hungriest team win.

Anxious tomorrow? I'm already anxious. I've been anxious since 4 PM last Saturday.

Maybe this will help you sleep. There was an earthquake in northeastern Ohio today. The weather for tomorrow is supposed to be cold and windy. Sounds like football weather to me. Wind gusts up to 40 mph will keep the ball on the ground more and favor the running game. The kicking game will be a challenge. I predict a low-scoring game. The Ravens better have a good pass rush, stop the run, and cover the receivers while Dalton gets chased around the backfield waiting to be sacked. If he throws the ball, then the wind will redirect it into the hands of Reed or Webb. Hopefully, they will stick to the run where "Butterfingers" Benson will cough up the ball several times. Flacco will have a better time throwing the ball because he has a stronger arm. The game will come down to Rice having a big game running and catching short passes. Hopefully, Evans will catch a few tomorrow, too. Cundiff needs to sit so he doesn't miss another 30 yard kick to lose the game. I'd rather see Graham, who is used to Cinncinnati stadium, in there to kick the game winner.

I could deal with a Ravens loss as long as the Steelers lose. But we beat good teams and lose to bad teams, so I think we'll win lol

If I were you, I wouldn't want to have to depend on Graham to make a critical game winning kick. Brings back bad memories. I know career wise he has good numbers but whenever the pressure was on him, he choked nearly every time, so yeah, get him in there! :P

I don't think anyone saw this meaning anything but the Ravens winning the AFC North. The Bengals have really surprised everyone this season and you guys have a great young QB-WR combo in Dalton-Green that is going to give Pittsburgh and Baltimore fits for the next decade. Your defense is good, Mike Zimmer has done a great job and I will admit, if they would surround him with better talent on the defensive side of the ball it the Bengals defense would be even better than it is now. Let the best team win tomorrow and just as much as everyone hear is going to be concentrating on Patriots-Bills, I'm sure you'll be keeping tabs on Jets-Dolphins and Texans-Titans during the 1PM games but also keeping track of Chargers-Raiders as you'll need the Jets, Titans and Raiders to lose if the Bengals lose tomorrow.

Good Luck!
