Good Luck In Playoffs

52 posts in this topic

I really think the Ravens have a good shot of making the Super Bowl this year, they will just have to get past the Pittsburgh Steelers, that will be the big hurdle as it generally is. As for me, it's another year of watching the playoffs without my team being apart of it and finding a way to collapse. I was hoping the Steelers, Ravens and Bengals would make the playoffs this year but it's not going to happen. I just hope lame duck Marvin Lewis is canned at some point, but with Mike Brown I know that won't happen. This is what separates the Ravens & Steelers, they want to win and will do whatever it takes to win. I can't say the same thing about the Bengals, I think they want to win but just don't know how to. Starts with the way the organization is ran and the Bengals are lacking significantly in that area. I hope we can be a true threat at sometime in my lifetime as it seems as if there's some hope and it fades away. Now we all know why they can't fill up the stadium, it's things like yesterday that happen all too often and the fans are tired of being heart broke every year. Anyway, I will end my rant now and good luck in the playoffs, I will be watching.

It was a heartbreaking loss for you guys no question about it. All is not lost yet though. The Jets are NOT all that and could drop a few games before the season is out. I have no faith in Sanchez. I'd say I would be rooting for you guys to make it in but...well, you know, that Week 17 game is yet to be played and we will have to beat you guys then.

Thanks for the well wishes for the playoffs

Don't give up hope now. You guys had a good draft and overachieved this year, relative to expectations. If those draft picks are put to good use you guys will be a force.

im pretty sure ive heard this from a diffrent bengals fan why would u want the steelers and ravens in the playoffs
Cause it shows how tough the AFC North really is. I'd rather see a team from the same division win it all compared to a team like the Patriots.

big hurdle? big hurdle? umm...the Ravens have beat the steelers 2xs already! there's no "hurdle" to get over! bottomline is that the Ravens want the playoffs to run through Baltimore. IF that happens...Baltimore is a very difficult place for ANY team to win. the Ravens are UNDEFEATED at home! so, if any team of the 2 has to get over the hurdle...it is pittsburg! it's the Ravens, that are the steelers "big hurdle!" to get over in route to the Superbowl not visa versa. but...keep your head up!

Thank you , but honestly, If we are going to play the STEALERS in the play off,(more than likely will) i dont think it will even be close. Not being Cocky at all , trust me. I just feel that the RAVENS have their number this yr. And the STEALERS know it. If we end up with the NUMBER 1 SEED, i 99% sure it will be a lock. Good luck to you also, you guys still have a chance, just hope that the TEXANS,PATS,STEALERS lose atleast one game and Cinncys odds of beating the RAVENS in week 17 will go up. Because we will have a lock at Seed 1, so it wont be a must win. Dont get me wrong, the RAVENS will still play hard but we might sit some guys out possibly to not risk our Star players getting hurt.

Well, I'm not saying that the Ravens can't beat the Steelers, it still will be a challenge despite what happened in the regular season. The teams are so equal and so built you never know which way it's going to go but like I said, the Ravens have as good of a shot as any team to reach the Super Bowl. I know the Ravens beat the Steelers both games this year, but it doesn't instantly mean they'll beat them again, but they have a good chance and they've shown that they can beat them already.

have we beat them in the playoffs? um no that's the last hurdle we need to get over we have gotten over the first hurdle of sweeping them thats what I believe they are referring too which is the hurdle of beating them in the playoffs regardless of where it is played.

Yes man I am but I am a realistic Fan and know that we have never beat them in the playoffs or are you in denial that this has not happened? I WOULD love to be wrong and really think this is the year we do it but once again this is a hurdle we have not acheived yet but first time for everything :)

I can see why Bengals fans might be disappointed about this year , because I'm sure their expectations were sky-high going into the season. Still , with talented rookies at WR and QB , a good defense and a young team overall , the future looks bright for the Bengals , IMO. By next year , Bengals fans will get their optimism back.

For the remainder of this season , it might be best if the Bengals play for a better draft position , and give bench players some game experience. In particular , for the final game of the season , I'd recommend treating it as the first practice for next year. Put all the second-stringers in , run some new plays , experiment , just have some fun. A win would be meaningless anyway , and you wouldn't want to risk a serious injury to a critical starter that could carry over into next season.

Anyway , best of luck next season. I'd like to see the Ravens-Bengals rivalry become the next "big thing" . Since the Steelers are obviously a franchise in decline , the NFL will need a new Ravens-based rivalry to maintain fan interest and TV ratings. The Bengals could be just the team to do that.

Use all those draft picks you robbed from the Raiders well enough and you guys will have a serious team VERY soon. ;)

If I were a Bengal fan I would be thoroughly impressed about our year and excited about the future.

I had the Bengals as being worse than the Browns before the season started. Dalton looked like the worst rookie QB in preseason and turned out to be arguably the best.

Now if I were a Browns fan.......I would be pissed.

Yea they were suppose to take progress this year. But they took one step forward last year and two steps backwards this year. McCoy is probably not the answer so they'll have to start at square 1 again at QB. Hillis is as good as gone. They need a deep threat. Lots of holes especially on offense.

At least they got Haden last year.

Honestly, i have to agree with you on that but with one stipulation , I want any team from the AFC north EXCEPT!!!! The STEALERS. I was actually rooting for you guys back in 09' when they did the Hard knocks on the Bengals, I became a little fan, key word Little, lol. If the RAVENS didnt make it, i was rooting for the Bengals.

Side note = Man i Love Hard Knocks and was kinda disappointed when they didnt have one this yr. But wasn't surprise with the delay because of the lock out. Maybe next yr, the RAVENS will be on it. Especially if we win the Big One. If not, i wouldnt mind seeing the Packers, but that might change if they win again. Because i might start to get sick of them by then, lol.

I wouldnt give up on your playoff hopes just yet. If you win out, which is very possible, you may still get in.

Even if you dont, next year is looking real good for Cincy, especially if you plug a few holes in the offseason.

What? No. The Bengals' expectations were as low as they can get. They were 4-12 AND lost Ochocinco, TO, and started a rookie over Palmer. I realize their organization has gained from those losses, but at the time half of the nation was predicting them to be in the bottom 3 of the league. This season has been a blessing for their fans and a wake-up call to the league that the Bengals are on the rise.

I like the post by the Bengals fan and agree the AFC North is tough! i think it is the best division in football. Beating a team 3 times is tough and our games with the Steelers are never easy. I think we can and will beat them this year IF we run into them. That is a big IF! Not so sure they will make it to a game with us as the Texans have beat them and can do it again.

Yeah , I guess that's true. It was probably not until midway thru the season or so before the fans had good reason to get excited , once Dalton and Green had shown what they could do and the Bengals had proven they were competitive. Still , they shouldn't be so discouraged now. Except for the recent Pitt game , nobody has blown the Bengals out. Like fans everywhere , though , they don't want to hear " wait 'till next year" , they want to know who screwed it up this year so they can hold them accountable.

They've been screwing it up since 1968. Marvin Lewis is just very lucky he's hired by Mike Brown cause had it been really any other organization, he would have been fired a LONG time ago. His game management is horrible, he should have challenged at least 2-3 different plays yesterday and didn't challenge one of them. His teams just always seem so dull like they have no motivation. I've just seen enough over the 8 years, he's not a head coach, he's a defensive coordinator. I just can't ever see the Bengals getting anywhere with Marvin Lewis as head coach, it's just how I really feel. I just think the team needs to go in a different direction, but they won't.

Yeah, it's got to be disappointing after jumping out to such a great start. But on the plus side the future looks absolutely amazing for the Bengals. They have a solid QB/WR combination, a gazillion and one draft picks after the Palmer trade. This year wasn't their year, but their foundation is set for the 6-10 years.

Well , everyone is talking about how the Ravens will lose Pagano to a HC gig , if not this year then next year. If he went to the Bengals he could just swap jobs with Lewis. Marvin brought us one SB as DC , maybe he'd like to try again.
