Who If Anyone Do You Think Will Beat The Packers?

15 posts in this topic

Given the way Aaron Rodgers is playing now and the fact that New Orleans has the 30th ranked passing defense, Atlanta has the 21st ranked passing defense, Dallas is 14th, the Giants are 29th, Detroit is 11th, San Francisco is 16th, and nobody else in the NFC is likely to make the playoffs, I'd say nobody. The only way to beat the Packers, IMO, is to somehow control the clock for a huge amount of time and keep Rodgers off of the field - I think this is the key to beating the Packers. The best bet may be the Superbowl, where teams like the Steelers, Ravens, Bengals or Texans, who actually have good passing defenses, could not only give Rodgers trouble but have the rushing attack to keep him off the field. Of course, anything could happen, and the Saints have a high powered offense. But we saw that game once. New Orleans may have rung up 34 points on the Packers, but they got hit up for 42 in return. And if they play again, it would be at Lambeau in the middle of the freezing winter. I don't know what Drew Brees would look like then. Rodgers is used to it, but Brees plays in a dome, in New Orleans, which is warm all year round.

they look unstopable in this game atm.. but i think it would be us, or maybe a shootout between them and the saint/NE but i think the greenbay defense would get a key TO or too and then Rodgers would out "gun" them

I don't see NO beating them. They just aren't the same team on the road.

Here are some teams I can see beating them in the playoffs:

1. New York Giants:
This team just loves playing on the road, and are at their best as underdogs. They have the pass-rush, and offense to beat GB. (as long as Bradshaw stays healthy)

2. Chicago:
If the Bears somehow make the playoffs, with Cutler returning, I think they have an excellent shot.

3. Dallas:
An inconsistent team, but theres no denying they have all the tools to pull off the upset.

From the AFC:

1. Pittsburgh:
They basically played this exact same team last year. But this time Pittsburgh has an offense which could keep up with GB.

2. New England:
Maybe the only offense that could outscore GB.

3. Baltimore:
Our defense will keep us in the game. But you have to be aggressive on offense against GB, and I'm not sure I really like our chances in the match-up between Cameron and Capers.

The Ravens pass D has the best shot of any team in the NFL of neutralizing Rodgers. GB has a terrible run defense , which would play into the additional strategy of ball control by the Ravens to keep the GB O off the field.

I can see the Ravens winning something like a 24-17 game against them , assuming no big problems with TOs or ST screwups.

It would be a great matchup for the SB , for sure.

Houston with Schaub or the Steelers would have a good shot too , I think.

I say they will lose to the Saints in the NFC Championship Game ending thier season at 17-1,

I hope no one can beat them in the nfc, so we can play them in the SB honestly, i really do believe we can beat them.

Huh, you pick all those HORRID teams to have a chance to beat the Packer except the RAVENS, i dont think we could have beat them last yr but i honestly think we would run the table on them. Our Defense would keep us in the game and all we would have to do is throw it on them, heck we could run it on them but i think throwing it on them would be beater.

The Broncos clearly have the best "12th man" in the history of the NFL. And he plays in away games , too.
