So miraculous that he did it last year at the ketchup field as well. And Lamar Woodley was in that game.

Oh but you are forgetting that Big Ben wasnt there, lol. Blows my mind that games dont count when Ben isnt playing. We are still playing their Great Defense right, lol.

Time will tell that my friend there is one more story to be written this season with the Steelers and the Ravens and when it does take place you can flush the two wins you had against the Steelers down the toilet because the one in January will be the only one that will count and matter when all is said and done...
Nope, no flushing the wins "my friend". They only strengthen our resolve because we know that we are a much better Team now than when we beat the squealers twice this year. And we also know the better Team lost in the playoffs last year. No falling asleep this year. If we lose, the opponent is going to have to play 60 minutes and beat us.

Yep, a playoff game is a bigger prize. And if the squealers keep pace and make it to that game, it's gonna be tough sleddin' for them.

I would too. I just think it's the Ravens time and possibly Ray's final go round. I hope the Ravens send him out with a Super Bowl win. But I love to see the Ravens play the Steelers. And our time had to come. I think it's now. Now the team has to go out there and do it.
Ray Louis is an ULTIMATE football player. I have enjoyed watching him over the past years. He would fit in so well with the Steelers but if we get knocked out I hope Ray goes out with a 2nd ring. I don't even have to say how jealous we are that Suggs is on your team. If the Ravens get by the Steelers in likely the divisional round I don't see NE stopping them. Congrats on a great year so far..looking forward to seeing you guys in the playoffs.

I wouldnt say you beat them convincingly both times. You needed a 92 yard drive with 8 seconds left in the 4th quarter and no Lamar Woodley playing on the Steelers defense to beat them the 2nd time. No denying the opener was a complete and total beatdown but smart money says if the game is in Baltimore in the playoffs in January as opposed to a game in September something like that doesnt occur again. I expect to see a game like the one we saw in Pittsburgh last month...
Do you realize how major that 92 yard drive was at Heinz field? They took the stake and stuck it right in the heart of the Steelers with that drive and I'm sure that have done wonders for the guys confidence which to me has been the only thing standing in the way of getting over the hump and beating the Steelers. If they can go down 92 yards for the GW drive and that clutch of a situation, that let's them know that they can move the ball on the Steelers if everyone execute as seen on that drive.

I really feel the tables will turn after this season and we will start beating the Steelers like they have been beating us for the last 3-4 years and it wouldn't surprise me if years on down the road they were to do a recap of what swung the momentum in the Ravens favor to start beating the Steelers and they bring up the 92 yard drive in Heniz Field. That drive was huge man, very, very, very huge!

Absolutely. This post is perfect. Seriously, with the whole Stadium jeering "Flaccoooo, Flaccooooo". A few dropped passes, like we had on that drive, might've sunk the Ravens in previous years but they kept going and won. Huge win, HUGE drive.

No doubt that drive right now is massive and the difference between the Steelers having the 1 seed and the Ravens having it. If the Steelers dont win the division and lose on the road in the playoffs especially to the Ravens that drive will haunt the Steelers much like the Flacco fumble on the Polamalu play haunted the Ravens last year and kept them from getting the division and homefield in the playoffs...

If these two teams do meet again a 3rd time I dont care where it's at the game is a coin flip plain and simple. These teams are so evenly matched in so many areas it's ridiculous. The Ravens still needed a miraculous flawless 92 yard drive at the end of the game by Flacco in Pittsburgh against a Steelers defense that didnt have their best pash rusher in Lamar Woodley to beat them with 8 ticks left on the clock. I dont know if Flacco can pull something like that off again if the opportunity presents itself one more time. Now will having the game at M&T Bank give the Ravens a huge edge?? Absolutely it will but the Steelers have found a way to win a number of close games against the Ravens in Baltimore in 2 out of the last 3 seasons at the end and there is no reason they couldnt do it one more time. So all I will say is be careful what you wish for there my friend...
see....

here is my BIG problem with you steeler fans. you say the Ravens needed a "miracle" to march down the field (in pittsburg) 92 yards to win. was it a "miracle" or...did the Ravens just flat out....out play your steelers in the last few minutes of the game....ala big ben style? think about it! and then...you steeler fans keep pulling the last 2-3 seasons experience out of your &*% to try to downplay how the Ravens have played you cats THIS SEASON!! THIS SEASON...they owned the steelers 2xs (at home and in pittsburg)...and don't fool yourself! IF the Ravens have to play the steelers again in the playoffs...and...the game is at M&T Bank Stadium...that will be a hard place for the steelers and any other team to get a win. remember....the Ravens "self-destructed" last season. it was nothing that the steelers did in particular. smh! the steelers should have won that game with 3 turnovers handed to them in the redzone. BUT....this season the Ravens have proved that they have ABSOLUTELY NO FEAR of the steelers. those days are over bruh! you act like the playoffs is a "guaranteed" win for the steelers. they say the third times the charm. get it....3rd time? Charm? the Ravens beating the steelers for a 3rd time....in "Charm-City" so....you may need to be careful for what you wish fo bruh!
So? Ben doesn't play defense. You said his last minute drive for a TD was a "miracle". While it was a shorter drive there was also only 1 minute left on the clock. And your excuse for saying it was a miracle was the absence of Woodley. Who was playing that game last year.
Think you're arguing with the wrong person. Perk is a Ravens fan. He was just making the point that the Steelers and their fans always seem to have an excuse when we beat them. In my view, the media comes up with enough excuses for that on their own.

The drive was big, but the Steelers don't go away with just one (or two) loss(es). Neither do the Ravens. Thankfully, the drive should shut up loudmouths like Skip Bayless who claim the Steelers have the "psychological edge" over the Ravens. I mean they'll still have some other excuse, but it shouldn't be that one.

mine too!

these steeler boys are here to just keep "steeler-talk" going on here on our boards when we have other fish to fry in the colts, chargers, bengals and browns! their constant presence here shows that they are truly concerned and obsessed with what the Ravens.

So when the Ravens beat the Steelers they earn it and outplay the Steelers and when the Steelers beat the Ravens the Ravens give the game to them and the Steelers dont earn anything that is basically what youre saying right?? The Ravens didnt own the Steelers in the 2nd meeting either dude they won in the final seconds of the game and blew a 10 point 2nd half lead. I wouldnt call that owning them. The first game was a beatdown no doubt and no excuses there...I want a 3rd matchup there brother trust me I want it more then any Steelers fan around...

See, that drive was bigger than beating the Steelers on their home field with the season sweep and potentially locking up home field advantage and those two things are big. I think that drive will set the tone for games to come vs the Steelers. Think about it man, we drove 92 yards at Ketchup Field for the GW TD on the mighty Steelers D who at the time had the #1 pass D in the league. When you think of stuff like that, you can only envision a few QBs and teams in the league able to do that ( Brady, Manning, Rodgers, Brees ). That drive showed that our O can officially outplay the Steelers D b/c it doesn't get any harder than that. He speaks of Woodley not playing, what happen the first game of the season which was a lopsided game.

Injuries... hmm... isn't that what the losers complain about? This is football. People go down. Roster depth counts. (By which I mean I agree with you)

The Ravens led the Steelers for the majority of the game. The Ravens outplayed Pittsburgh. Not to mention three touchdowns were practically negated in the 1st quarter: Rice's opening run for a TD being called back for a ticky-tacky holding call on Torrey, the fact that the refs blew a play dead when Rice was literally falling into the endzone, and then a clear PI on Torrey in the open field. Those three plays go our way and you have another blowout on your hands.

It took another Ben Roethlisberger performance for you to get back in that game, and it took a beautiful drive by our offense to snatch the win back.

As do I. Every time they complain about injuries I ask them to please refer to week one to see how the two teams match-up when as healthy as possible. I think the best part about that game was that our coaching staff out coached theirs. That seemed to be an issue in the past and it seems like Harbs has steered the ship in right direction. He out-shined and flat out embarrassed Tomlin in that game.

After all the crap the Steelers talked in the preseason, you'd think they'd just go home and lick their wounds...
You'd think so. And after the week 1 beat down and saying they wouldn't forget us going for the 2 point conversion, you'd think they would've came out with a vengeance in the rematch.

I honestly think we have their number this year. I don't think they have the tools to match up to us. Of course they can play us tough and pull out a victory, but I think it's clear who has the superior squad.

Woodley was interviewed a few days back and he sorta backed off on his guarantee that Flacco would never win a Super Bowl. He didn't come out and apologize but he wasn't as zealous as he was during the summer lol

He likes to stir the pot, and everyone knows he makes illogical arguments and doesn't listen to reason. If Bayless wants to hate on the Ravens, well he thinks Josh Beckett is a HOF pitcher and would take Becket over Roy Halladay.

Not sure what you were reading, but I made no excuses for last year. I said that we blew it and the better Team lost. No excuse for it but poor execution on our part. Period. The only reason I mentioned it was that loss will further motivate us per chance we meet again this year in the playoffs. Last year is just that, last year.

You won't see that Ravens "melt down" in any remaining game this year, which is my point. If we lose any game for the remainder of THIS YEAR, we will have to be beaten. No gifts to any opposing team.

Even though the Ravens did beat the Steelers twice I am still not ready to admit that the Ravens as a whole are a better overall team then the Steelers. I still would take Ben Roethlisberger over Joe Flacco in a playoff game with everything on the line...Joe Flacco has still yet to have that one big signifgant win in the playoffs that seperates him...
ummm....you are a steelers fan so of course you not ready to admit that the Ravens are a better team. smh! and Joe Flacco has won significant playoff games. he's won games on the road and he beat Brady in Foxboro. that playoff statement seems to be the last "crutch" that you steelers fans keep holding on to as though with the steelers the playoffs means an automatic win. smh! Flacco has done EVERYTHING to discredit what you cats are saying. the blatant arrogance and conceit of you steelers fans is why i can't stand the steelers (except for Ben and Troy).

steeler fans say stupid stuff like this on the regular...

-Flacco never beat the steelers with ben playing. CHECK (he's done that 2xs)
-Flacco never beat the steelers in pittsburg. CHECK (he's done that 2xs)
-Flacco can't lead a successful game-winning drive against the steelers. CHECK (he's done that 2xs)
-Flacco can't sweep the steelers in a regular season. CHECK (he's been there done that!)

now their stupid speech is....

-until Flacco wins in the playoffs (what you really mean is beats the steelers to advance) the regular season means nothing. ?????
-if the Ravens go to the Superbowl without playing the steelers it doesn't count. ?????

what kind of foolishness is that? you cats need to get out of here with that trash!

Yeah, I heard he also likes RGIII more than Andrew Luck in the draft. I wonder why? Maybe because it's controversial? But for some reason the excuses he uses are the same ones that Steelers fans use. (Torrey held on the last play, there was no Woodley, Ray's hit should have drawn a flag...)
