When was the last time the Bengals were ever competitive?
In 2005 they went 11-5 (1st in the AFC North). They had one of the better shots of winning the superbowl that year, but that went down the toilet when Palmer went down with an injury during the Steelers game. The Steelers went on to win the Superbowl that year.

Well, looks as if Carson will be out all year. If theyre smart, they will shelf him i mean, why risk a Franchise QB when youre 0-8 really?

Theres nothing to win, and alot to lose.

Idk who has a better chance to win a game, detroit looked competitive today, so ill say theyre more likely to win, we will see.

I wonder how long its been since 2 teams started 0-8

I would sell my soul to the football gods if Indy would lose to both Cincy and Detroit and that would be those teams' only wins. My Colts fan friend gave me all kinds of crap when we lost to the Dolphins last year, so it would be great to see it happen to the Colts twice.

The more that I think about it, I really see the Lions going 0-16. They have a alot of internal problems within the organization and a lot of issues with the team right now. I fell bad for Lions fans right now, I would actually like to see them have a winning season in a year or two, or whenever that may be.

It'll be tough. Their schedule isn't very favorable. But their next three games are at home. So maybe they can get that warm fuzzy feeling inside and pull off a win.

Call me crazy. But I'm calling it now. The winless Lions beat the undefeated Titans at Ford Field. Bring the Titans down a notch. Sort of like us when we played the Patriots last year. We knew we weren't going to the Playoffs, so we played our superbowl. I expect the same of the Lions.

you're crazy

Lions have been more competitive on the road so far, unless you count their home games as road games. ;) The reason we were able to hang with the Pats, the defense kept us in it, and the offense came up with big plays and most importantly the fans energized them.

The Lions D couldn't stop elementary kids from getting passed them. and I can't see them scoring much with Qb they just signed off the street. maybe. and its hard to get all 3 people in the stands trying to pump up the home team!!!

0-11 and counting!!!!!

Dante Culpepper might not be the same type of QB he used to be, but I definitely think he's a bit better than a guy off the street. In fact the Lions showed a little bit of something on offense last week and with Culpepper throwing to another big time WR in Calvin Johnson they might have something, but with their defense being one of the worst ever they aren't good enough to keep themselves from getting blown out down the stretch through the entire 60 minutes of the game.

hat being said the Titans are going to run all over the Lions . . . one order of blue road kill coming up

Here's a thread on a Lions forum about the potential 0-16 season. Pretty entertaining too:

even if they go 0-16, at least they were 4-0 in the pre-season. I don't see why the regular season is such a big deal.

I laughed so hard when I read that.

I mean it's all about the pre-season nowadays, regular season is a joke XD!

It's good to see they manage to have a sense of humor in the midst of their crappy season.
Lions had a 17-0 lead...

and then got outscored 38-3.

next up the Tennessee Titans. That should be an easy 0-12!
I was called crazy. But I'm calling it again. The Lions will get one win against the Titans.

You are crazy, there's no way the Titans will lose to the Lions after being embarrased by the Jets

I bet the Detroit Lions have you singing a different tune now. They will go winless. They remaining schedule is too hard for even decent teams in the NFL.

I bet theres 3 college teams that could beat the Lions right now

Florida Gators
Alabama Crimson Tide
Oklahoma Sooners

They are the lauging stock of the NFL

Well it was worth a try. I was pulling for the Titans D the whole game. I started them on my fantasy team- because the Lions suck. So I didn't actually believe the Lions would win where it mattered. But if they did, then it would have been a great statment.

I'm still convinced that Detroit will somehow win a game; don't know against who or by how much but I just cannot see them going 0-16.

I can...

they've got to be the least talented I've ever seen. They are so out of sync as a team- they take poor angles, overpursue, can't find the ball, can't seem to maintain lanes. They don't even arm tackle, they take sissy A-Rod wrist slaps at the ball and let players run right by them. they should put welcome signs in the endzone, I think they enjoy letting teams score on them! I mean I could go on and on but that would be beating a dead lion. <_<

Here's a toughy scenario for fun, if we the fans of the Ravens had control over the outcome of the Lions at the end of the season. Either 0-16 or 1-15

Would you choose them going 1-15 winning against the Colts, possibly helping our wild card spot, maybe bumping us up to the 5th seed.
Or would you have them go 0-16 so everyone can laugh at them for generations to come until another team gets a 0-16 season?

I would love for them to win against the Colts for the simple proof of detroiation in the Colts team as a whole and maybe lower their moral going into the playoffs (if they go to the playoffs after that :P )

I dont want to see that happen. None of those guys deserve to have that on their resume. They would never live that down.

Maybe the Lions have a chance against the Vikings now that the Williams brothers have been suspended. Just need to run the ball. And contain AP to the best of their abilities.
