The King

Dropped Passes

3 posts in this topic

A quick check with the Washington Post shows that the Ravens are fifth in the league in dropped passes with 26 on the season. Additionally, two Ravens, Anquan Boldin and Ray Rice, are ranked in the top twelve players in drops (eigth and twelfth, respectively). The alarming thing is that both of them have generally been considered among the most sure-handed at their positions in the league.

Obviously, we expect dropped passes from a rookie like Torrey Smith. When he was drafted it was with the knowledge that, while he has incredible deep speed, he wasn't a polished WR. But the drops are happening all over the field, and they're costing the Ravens hugely, and they might be costing Joe Flacco a Pro Bowl spot, too.

Any ideas what's causing this, and how the team could fix it before the playoffs?
