Lloyd was never too reliable, but kickers can be found anywhere.

I believe they get the ball after the half, wasn't the first drive when we picked up 10 yards on 7 plays because they kept getting penalties?

It was standard Billick protocol to turn down an extra kicker, but Stover has had trouble with these long yardage kicks for years now. The guy is probably the third best player all time for the Ravens, and is still pretty valuable, but we need someone for longer kicks, end of story.

I don't think you could possibly do anything worse for the future of this franchise. Is there something in Flacco's game that tells you he won't be a good NFL quarterback? He is facing a pretty good defense in his fourth career start. Troy Aikman started 1-15, rookies have to learn. Like it or not, Flacco needs to make mistakes so as to improve in the future.

And by the way, if it is because you think this defense can't be wasted, what have we been doing the past eight years? They've been called old and declining since 2002 or so, what makes you think next year they won't be back?

Unfortunately the Ravens are too old to have an extra kicker. We need depth elsewhere to afford a spot.

Are you serious? That would be the worse possible thing we can do with Joe is to bench him because of a bad performance. He's got to learn! Nothing more demoralizing for a young QB then being benched after a bad performance. Besides, he's facing a defense that's probably better then Pittsburgh's.

no offense but this is very dumb.. did you read this after you wrote it. the last eight years. we have been wasting them.. this has been an ongoing thing.. billick was to stubborn to put the right qb's in .. so we spent years when the d was in there prime wasting .... this defense should have won a couple super bowls by now.. and that's makes it worse now.. they really don't have many years left so you have to get the ball rolling.. we wasted time on them by letting boller grow and you see where that has gotten us.. nowhere. we can't waste another 5 years developing a qb

Your right, we should have brought in a veteran like Steve McNair, Billick was just too stubborn to do that.

Do you not see the promise from Flacco? When did Boller EVER show us that, he looked nervous and erratic every single time he dropped back.
