Now thats the Phillip Rivers I was looking for when I drafted him on my fantasy team.

Too late now... :(

No, No, No! I knew this would happen. It's December which means two things, Cowboys find odd ways to lose and the Chargers all of a sudden play better and we play them in December!!!! Damn You NFL Schedule Makers... now we need the 49ers to beat the Steelers as an insurance policy.

We didn't lose to this team. We lost to them when they still had Rashean Mathis, who now has a torn ACL. What I can't believe is how we didn't annihilate Gabbert. That guy is TERRIBLE. I've never seen a QB stink up the field as much as he did. He's now tied with Elvis Grbac in my book. The guy doesn't step up when there's pressure in his face. He curls up into a ball and gets crushed. I'm really disappointed we didn't have more sacks on him. They must have lost an O-Lineman somewhere along the line because they really stink.

We were trying to run? Wasn't that the night Rice had 5 carries?

Yeah. That's definitely trying to run.

How did we lose that game?

Cam.

Well how about last game against the Browns? We ran the ball A LOT. With many different people. Rice had 204 yards.

We won 24-10

Who's play-calling was that?

Cam's.

Good. He called a good game FOR ONCE. Once he becomes consistent, I'll give him more props. He's done better since Seattle.

Well just look at our record. That's gotta tell you something about him.

It's because he got yelled at after Seattle. Either John or the front office came down on Cam's gameplan, and he recommitted to the run after that. Rice has 13 carries against Tennessee, we lose. He has 13 carries combined against Jacksonville and Seattle, we lose. Every other game Rice has had 18 or more carries, and we won. Are you trying to say that Seattle and Jacksonville have better run defenses than Pittsburgh, Cinci, or San Francisco? They don't. But we stuck to what we do and we won. Ray Rice has at times dominated the best run defenses in the NFL. And at no point in any game, especially the Jacksonville game where we lost by less than a touchdown, were we so far behind that we needed to abandon the run in favor of the pass. But for some reason they benched Ray Rice in Jacksonville because of a couple of fumbles? They bench Rice in the second half of Seattle for NO REASON AT ALL? The problem here has been that whenever we did get down by a touchdown earlier in the season, Cam started passing the ball like crazy. Ray Rice has carried the ball now as much in the last 3 games as he did in the previous five, and guess what - we're on a 3 game winning streak, after losing two of the previous 5.

I would make my own reply, but these guys said it best.

This is a little off topic though, this is about Jags/Chargers.

Looks like they are in December form now. Congrats Chargers, gave up your chance of the playoffs to try to play spoiler in December.
[/quote]

Dont forget this weekend both the Raiders and Broncos whom the Chargers are chasing for the AFC West division still both have very very tough games. The Raiders play at Green Bay,and the Broncos play the Bears in Denver. The Chargers play the Bills in San Diego which is definitely a game they can win as well. If the Chargers beat the Bills and the Raiders lose in Green Bay and the Broncos lose at home to the Bears then that would put the Chargers at 6-7 and both the Raiders and Broncos at 7-6 going into that game the following week that the Chargers play the Ravens. That game the Chargers have with the Ravens keep in mind is on Sunday night and at 4 o clock that same day the Raiders play Detroit in a game the Lions are going to have to win,and the Broncos play the Patriots in a game the Patriots are going to have to win to keep pace for homefield advantage and the bye week. So it is very very possible that both the Raiders and Broncos both will be 7-7 by the time the Chargers play the Ravens that Sunday night which means a Chargers win that night would also put them at 7-7 and tied with both the Raiders and the Broncos. The point being if this all takes place which is very possible the Chargers will have everything on the line that night when they play the Ravens and give them one tough game...

Understood! I am also guilty of criticizing his pro Cam belief.
