Luckily we have Fabian Washington. Thats all I'm going to say. It looks like another ROLLErcoaster year of injuries for Samari once again.

As for Kelly Gregg, don't be suprised if we don't see him for a very long time. The Ravens still really have no idea whats going on with his knee. I wouldn't be suprised if he doesn't play a game the entire season.

I am begining to get that same feeling about Gregg. Its usually very difficult for lineman to bounce back from knee injuries. They are now saying that he tore a liagment or something like that in his knee. Merriman is out for something similar and he doesnt have to use his legs, knees more specifically as much as Gregg does. I am thinking Gregg will be on IR if we suffer another major injury. Like say, I hope to goodness this doesnt happen, but if Heap or Wilcox went down. We'd need Gregg's roster spot to bring Edgar Jones back up from the practice squad.

I think that Rolle will be back within the next week to 2 weeks or so, Team officals i think are just taking this as a pre-cautionary matter, because quite frankly, noone wants to make any injury worse or be the reason why someone gets injured badly enough to be out an extended period of time, especially considering this is a neck injury.. and his shoulder, the team is willing to do whatever it takes, wait however long in order to get Rolle back on the football field. He seemed to be in a great deal of pain when the injury occured so just basing from what we saw from the game and Rolle's injury....the Team is willing to wait until it gets completely healed and ok to play. Rolle last week, didnt seem to be in all that much pain just standing there on the sideline against the Steelers so what does that mean for Rolle's status? it means that its healing and it means that we will most likely have him back within the next few weeks or so.

Our Depth at the Cornerback position is something in which the team isnt worried about seeing how we have Rolle, Washington, and Martin.....not to mention we also have Ivy. All of those players present qualities in which are valuable out there on the football field in their own way and we've seen how each player brings a unique style in which has panned out for us more than once. So the sense of urgency is not quite "urgent".

Looks like the Ravens Injury report is saying that he will be out for the game against the Titans. Hopefully he will continue to get better this weekend.

Just Read Rolle will be out a month or more. He had sugery on his neck. Washington needs to step up. We can not allow this to create a weak spot in our D

All I thought about was the Ludacris song coming into the thread lol :P

Anyway, I'm positive Fabian Washington will step up huge. He did a GREAT job in the Steelers except for that gamble he took but if McAlister or Reed wrapped up Holmes then we probably would have held them to a field goal. But other then that, he did awesome.

Man this is worrying me now.... Got 3 starters out on D.... Rolle, for some reason i just feel like his injury will just linger out and miss more than 1 month... Landry, i dk i think hell miss almost a month too just cause his injury was severe and they dont want him to make that injury any worse.. Then gregg like everyone else says, its hard for a guy that big to recover from a knee surgery quickly... Hopefully no one else gets the injury bug otherwise we might be introuble unless our offense can start opening up the playbook and start throwing some balls

Dont think theres too much to worry about here, folks.

- Gregg's out. can't get another Gregg, damn it. but, Bannan is as good as a Starter elsewhere in the NFL. He's doing a solid job.

-Dawan's out. Well, he's coming back, but he's sorely missed. But the communication is still intact with Reed back there, and Zbikowski & Nakamura have a chance to prove whos the better starter (with Leonhard rotatin w/them for some plays)

-Rolle's out. Were replacing Rolle with a younger and faster cover-corner in Fabian Washington. He's a great player, as stated before. Still a bit raw, but he's definately got that upside. Only being 25, and with experience under his belt, He's going to be as good as, if not better, than rolle.

so, not as dire as last season, and were alright. B)

Thankfully this year we have alot more depth...but I still hate to see anyone injured, especially Samari with all he has had to overcome besides. Hats off to everyone on IR --get well soon guys!!!

I agree. It sucks to see so many injuries but we've got good depth now.

Here's a link that addresses ALL of the teams injuries, an interview with Harbaugh...

http://www.baltimoreravens.com/media_libra...1_Harbaugh.aspx

For all the guys pulling for Troy Smith, and in the sense of the TEAM that should be all of us, it gives the good news that he will suit up for the game against the Titans and figures prominently in the Ravens plans.

I read that Greggs injury isnt just ligament damage which can be repaired, its worn cartilage and exposed bone on bone which is REALLY BAD (ask Michael McCrary)especially when youre a NT who relies on generating huge amounts of leverage. Cartilage does not regenerate itself and there really is no way to fix it, tiny bits of bone and cartilage act like sandpaper if not consistently cleaned out. Add to that the cortisone injections (which also break down cartilage over time) and his age it doesnt look good.
