Ravens Versus Indianapolis

236 posts in this topic

There's no sleeping on this one, too much is on the line for that kind of mentality. They just have to go out and play for 60 minutes. I don't want Indy to get any garbage time points like they did against NE. Time to take care of business and dominate for the home crowd. Stay humble and hungry like O.J. said, and get number 10.

When's the last time our offense scored a TD against the Colts? I'm actually a bit worried we could come out flat... hopefully the Home crowd can get our boys hyped up.

Actually it was 4 years ago to the day. We lost 44-20 December 9th, 2007 in Baltimore. Kyle Boller was the starting QB in that game, but Troy Smith played in some garbage time, getting the last TD, a 6 yard rushing touchdown.

Since then we've lost 31-3 in Indy in 2008.
17-15 in Baltimore in 2009 and 20-3 in Indy in the playoffs that year.

Yeah... it hasn't been a great run against the Colts. So if the Ravens need any motivation for this game, it's right there. They've never beaten the Colts since Harbaugh came to town, and haven't beaten Manning at ALL since 2001 when Elvis Grbac was the quarterback. Ouch.

Yeah, terrible stuff. Hate being a shared market with the Redskins. After the Chargers game, finals will be done and I'll be back at home - well within the Baltimore market.

I hadn't even considered that. I do work in College Park as well, but since those games are on Christmas Eve and New Years Day respectively, I should be home in Baltimore as well. (Though I may be in NYC or Atlantic City for New Years, now that I think about it.)

Just for everyone in the Delmarva area with WBOC they changed their broadcast to the ravens game

"Attention football fans: WBOC will be airing the Baltimore Ravens game this Sunday, Dec. 11, at 1 p.m. The Ravens will be playing at home against the Indianapolis Colts. The NFL decides the games CBS can air in individual markets. WBOC is required to air whatever NFL games CBS supplies the station. As a result, WBOC will not be airing the Washington Redskins' game on Sunday, Dec. 11. We thank you for your understanding and continued patronage"

Funny enough we've only not seen one game this year on TV... In Calvert County we get WJZ and WBAL on comcast so even though it's not in HD, we get the game... Mom lives in Waldorf and comcast there does not give them any Balto stations...

When the game is on Fox we can't get it unless DC area carries it... For some reason, we don't get Balto Fox... We tried streaming the game on the computer this season when we could see it on tv... lots of ads... lots of buffering... and about 5 mins behind the live radio broadcast... was okay for an 'instant replay' kind of thing...

I'd seriously consider switching to directtv if it was more than one game a year...

Did you guys know that if Joe wins on Sunday, he will have beaten every team in the AFC (except ours) at least once in his <4 year career? (Also, every team except Jacksonville between 2009-2011).

I remember two years ago when Favre beat the Packers, he became the only guy in NFL history to beat every team in the league. I think Brady and Manning both have beaten everyone except their own teams, though. It's pretty cool that Joe's pulled this off so early in his career. Wonder how long before he has a victory against every team?

Well, at least 4 years because he just lost to Seattle. We won't play them until 2013.

I hope that doesn't mean a win against the Ravens in the future....

Wish you hadn't told me that. That just seems so far off.

And on top of that, for some reason I thought it was 2009. We play them in 2015.

Over on the Colts message boards there's more than one person commenting that our D will blow up their running. I guess we'll find out in about 12 hours.

No they are not, most are saying Ray Rice will have a field day.

Actually, what I meant is that the Ravens would shut down the Colts running. But Ray is also having a field day. Man, sometimes I get "forum tongue-tied" lol.

Wish we could recover one of these fumbles!

One more score and I think we can start thinking about mop duty. Well I should say one more touchdown. I don't think the D is going to give up any more scores unless there is another great special teams play or turnover by us. 31-3 in the 4th Qtr with less than 10 minutes is mop up time.

Nice catch Quan! Sometimes I feel like we don't go to Quan enough but then sometimes he has dropped a few than he shouldn't. But I think now, late in the year, when games get tight and weather gets rough, that we should be able to go to Quan to move the chains more often.

Well the Bengals choked at home against Yates who, to his credit, is looking better than Gabbert and maybe even Ponder, and the Skins couldn't pull out the upset against the Pats so there are still 4 teams atop the AFC.

Ravens take care of their own business to stay "UNDEFEATED" at home this season and to advance their record to 10-3 to go back atop of the AFC North over the steelers.

YESSSSSSSS!!!
