Who here thinks its time to give David Reed another chance to return kicks.

I for one think he is ready and i really doubt he would have the same fluke fumbling that we all saw in the Seattle game. After weeks have passed , so has my outrage of him having fumblitis.

We all have to remember that he did lead the league in kick returns last season and i feel he deserves atleast one more chance.

I highly doubt we would see the same out come of the Seahawk game.

You cant deny the man is fast, i mean really fast. I like how he runs (north and south)
I personally think the 2 fumbles were just flukes. And if he were to fumble again, then i say take him off of kick returning.

And honestly i dont want Webb getting hurt, pretty stupid to have you best Corner to get hurt returning kicks. That would make me lose my mind.

definitely not. it's harsh, but his mistakes (i hated the selfish, immature unsportsmanlike he took even more than the fumbles. if you want to act like that, go play for the jets) cost us the seattle game. a win there would have made a big difference at this point in the year, and that was on him. the guy hasn't been on the team long enough to give him consideration for another shot, and he hasn't earned his salt.

so yeah, i would say no.

Well it looks like Webb won't be in any shape to return kicks nor punts. I would like to see Zibby in there over Reed. He is reliable and knows when to take a knee. We will need to wait and see what happens on Sunday night.

You must have quickly forgot about some of the bone-headed returns Zibby had last season. One that comes to mind, he fields the ball in the endzone and runs out then back in for almost a safety and is tackled at the 2 ft line.

I do think its time for Reed to get another chance. Just last year we were praising him for his return skills as he lead the league
in return yards. One bad game shouldn't over shadow everything he did in the previous year. The potential is there, he just
has to be smart about it.

Agreed. I would definitely give him a shot returning a kick or two against the Browns, should we build a comfortable lead. Just because he had a bad game in Seattle doesnt mean we should forget him. He was still very productive before the Seattle debacle. I'm still mad at him for losing us the Seahawks game, but I believe in second chances.

Yeah, I mean Flacco was horrible against the Jags but he didn't get benched. Falcons put up 41 on that team and we struggled putting up 7...

Everyone deserves another chance. Hence why Ellerbe is playing at a high level out of the dog house.

i would put him back in, he got us to the 45, he held on to the ball, give him a chance, if he drops one more then thats it, but if he holds on, we could have a weapon in the playoffs, becuase he is a good returner

Since our Offense is too inconsistent to march us down 80 yards.

We have to put some firepower on our special teams.

It's now or never, David Reed must be put back into service because he can change momentum with his returns.

I'd rather risk those fumbles and get those short field positions for our Offense, than see that conservative play from Zbikowski.

And he can kill it w/ his fumbles. I think most will take Zbi securely getting it out to the 25 yrd line over Reed's break out "potential" and propensity to fumble.

Zibby was doing a pretty good job, but Reed is still the best at returning kicks. If he could just hold onto the ball in traffic, we would have a lot more room to move and maybe start scoring more TDs than field goals. I hope yesterday's one return was a sign that his head is in the game and he's ready to make up for costing the team twice.

If only if we can get a player with Zbikowski's toughness and ball security with David Reed's agility and speed.

Tyrann Matheiu where are you?

A great return means nothing if we get to the Red Zone and can't punch it in.

Top 10 pick. Luckily for us we're not going to be drafting that high.
