Chuck Pagano

He was voted as best coordinator in the division on an espn blog over with 31% of the votes over Dick Lebeau, Jay Gruden, and Dick Jauron. I knew he would bring our aggressive style of play back definitely the right guy for the job.

I'm a huge fan of Pagano's style and mentality , Matteson was just too timid. Pagano has to be on other teams radars as far as head coaching opportunities. Some of his blitz packages look very creative....Hopefully he's around for atleast one more season.

it´s all on him. some guys like to stay in a system for a long time, even if it is just for a coordinator job.
i hope that some day the defense will be coached by reed or lewis. a man can dream, right?

Surprised they voted him better than LeBeau considering how much of a track record LeBeau has. But he and Gruden aren't far behind. I think what wins most voters over, though, is the fact that he, like Gruden, had absolutely no offseason to work with. And he's the one who's team is 3-0 in the division and has a win over a 49ers team that had won 8 straight coming in.

More likely 2 or 3. Teams don't usually higher a HC based off of one stellar season. Lets hope he doesn't want to be a head coach.

He deserves it! I really hope he dont leave us after this year. We need him to help adjust our D after Ray leaves.

Nothing new really. Zone blitzes, overloads, twists and such. Common in the 3-4 defense. The trick is knowing when to call them. The better you know the opponents tendencies in down and distance situations, the more likely they are to succeed when called. Its a chess match. Sometimes it's just good guessing and luck. lol
