I think the black jerseys are over atleast til playoffs, which is another reason I hope we get homefield. Any night game that would happen at the Bank during a playoff run Harbs has to run with the all black unis.

We've already worn our black jersey twice......as we announced we would......I believe thats the last we'll see of them in the regular season at least. Please dont jump off a building now!

I gotcha but notice how i Always say Black Uniforms, not Jersey, Although im actually starting to really like the Black/white uniforms. Dont know why but it really grew on me. Like i said plenty of times, cant stand the all White uniforms, Just something about them that urks me.

I think Pagano would be foolish to take any job. If you look around the league for potential openings both Miami and KC can run Pagano's 34 defense, Id say KC has the better tools for him to work with (two pass rushers, Hali/Houston, Berry, DJ, Arenas and Flowers). KC has some weapons in the passing game in Baldwin and Bowe, Charles and McCluster. However neither team has an actual QB, Cassel doesnt scare anybody and lord knows who Miami's QB is right now.

If Pagano was smart he wouldn't go to a team unless they either had a bonafide NFL calibre QB or he had the possibility of a top 10 pick to take a guy like Barkeley.

I think he would Jump on the Colts then, and i think the Colts H.C right now is too safe, could be wrong though.
Oh and while im on the Colts, i think Caldwell Sucks as a HC, sure you lost you best player and QB but dam, you cant win one game. It not like the Oline ,WR,TE or Defense sucked.

Our defense can survive without Chuck but I think he will be around a few more years at least. We have 2 DC anyway with Ray and will be just fine. Agree that there are a lot of head coaching jobs opening but also agree that Chuck has only had 1 good season. Not enough for a HC job (maybe an interview). He has brought a lot of swagger back and allowed the players to be a bigger part of the game plan which helps but I am not convinced he is a huge reason for the success of this season. Hear me right, he is good and done a great job but I am not sure he was the main cause of the return of the true Raven's defense.

I think it's doubtful he would leave after one season, but I could easily see him go to Miami's vacated seat. Hopefully Chuck likes playing DC and doesn't want the hustle & bustle of the HC seat. He has a lot of ties to Florida, though, so it isn't unlikely that they could acquire his services.

He wouldnt jump on the Colts, they run a 43 defense with almost zero edge responsibility for Mathis/Freeney and are soft in their front 7, with doo doo corners. Pagano would have to totally rebuild that defense.

I actually heard someone mention Pagano as someone who could interview for a HC job, dont remember where i heard that...i thought it would take more than 1 year for him to get a HC job but the Ravens defense makes the DC into head coaches faster than anyone/anywhere else in the league

I hope he doesnt go anywhere, it would be nice to have the same DC for a few years

I think he'll get a lot of interviews, but there's going to be pressure on most of those teams to make a sexy pick for the head coach.

In Kansas City, Pioli will likely look at the New England offensive coordinator (the guy thinks the Patriots are the only team in the NFL and signs/trades/hires everyone from them).

Jacksonville probably has the best chance of landing Pagano, since Del Rio came from the Ravens too as a defensive coach (I think he was linebackers coach when they hired him.) They're more of a defensive team so I think they'll lean that way.

However if the Ravens beat the Packers in the Super Bowl, then that would increase his chances, if teams are willing to wait that long.

Pagano will stay... no doubt about it. Plus everyone here is talking how he'll become a Head Coach, how do we know that he wants to be a Head Coach? Maybe he'll be happy being a Defensive Coordinator the rest of his life, similar to Lebeau.

Win the Super Bowl, have Ray Lewis retire, if Pagano leaves then sign Ray Lewis as Defensive Coordinator. Problem solved! (Yes, I know that Ray said he'd retire to spend more time with his kids, which would likely preclude him taking the job as defensive coordinator, but that'd be awesome if it happened just the same.)

Also, I heard a lot of what worked for Mattison in Michigan was teaching the fundamentals, which he is great at, just not so much with the aggressiveness.

Every coach has dreams of being the head coach of their own team. It's in their blood. I hope Pagano sticks around and teams aren't quite ready to take a shot on him personally.

Dick LeBeau was the head coach of the Bengals from 2000-2002 until Marvin Lewis was hired to take over for him. He kind of bounced around from the Steelers to the Bengals and eventually back to the Steelers again.

Wosrt come to worse if Pagano left maybe they promote some from inside, maybe a position coach. Some coaches I wouldn't mind though are Mike Nolan and Crennel who most likely won't be brought back because their teams will probably clean house. Who knows though, if the defense was switched to more of a 4-3 I wouldn't mind Spags. Can't really answer this til after the season. Would much rather keep Pagano.

Greg Mattison was OK as a defensive guy. He kept the Ravens in the top 3 in most defensive categories so it's not like he was horrible, just not
as dominate as we are used to seeing. He's completely turned around what was an absolutely atrocious Michigan Defense with only 1 new

recruiting class in his first season.

Makes me think to believe he was more suited for the college game instead of the pros, probably

deals better with younger guys instead of

professionals.

[/quote]
I think Mattison's schemes as a whole are more suited for college ball. It was painfully obvious that the Ravens defense was just vanilla, relying on pressure from 3 or 4 pasd rushers and hanging our secondary out to dry. I think Mattison was asked nicely to leave on his own terms since he was a Harbaugh guy rather than him being "fired". Either way, I agree with you. Pagano has done wonders here in his first season, and I can't wait to see what it can become as some of these young players like Smith,Williams,Mcphee, kruger, cody, kindle develop

I think hes safe for at least 1 more year.

But man could you guys imagine Pagano gone, and Cam still being here next year? I get deeply depressed thinking about it.

Its like the nightmare just gets worse and worse. Starting with that Lee Evans drop, and it hasn't ended yet.
