I'm pretty sure the reason McPhee's not on the list is because he didn't reach the 200 pass rush cutoff for inclusion.

i thought he'd be seeing 20 snaps a game, obviously not..

He's seeing even more than that now , but early in the season there were games where he and Kruger only saw 8-10 snaps. Also , in the tabulation used by PFF , only pass-rushing snaps are counted. Although McPhee's playing time is targeted to passing situations , not all of his snaps end up being passing plays.

If Suggs didn't have to face Joe Thomas and Whitworth 4 times a year (combined), then yes, but as it stands, they pretty much stonewall him every time they play, so I doubt it.

wonder how accurate that is though? it says suggs rushes more than ware u find that hard to believe and Mcphee isnt on the list yet he is always there

Here's an update posted today that explains why McPhee didn't make the list ( see comments at bottom of article ) :

It turns out McPhee just missed the 200 snap cutoff by a few snaps. If included , he would have ranked second only to Antonio Smith (Hou) among interior defensive linemen.

If he worked on some new pass rush moves then he has a good shot like the spin move or dip move.. I always see him either bullrush or just try to beat the tackle around the edge

Side note: Didn't we "waste" a week at least with Suggs containing Roethlisberger rather than actually trying to sack him? Our gameplan isn't always about sacks/pressures, but sometimes just to contain.

So long as he smashes Roethlisberger a few more times, I don't really mind. It would be nice to see him with the Ravens' single season sack record however.

I wholly agree that sacking Roethlisberger is the icing on the cake. Hopefully, we can meet and beat them in the playoffs to end our long run of losing to them.
